I need to rant. A friend of mine is a Camping zombie.

Seriously, even after this false prophet once again failed in what was "absolutely in the Bible", this family still is sticking with him. She had sent out an e-mail a few days ago telling everyone in her e-mail address book to go to family radio and check out the information. I e-mailed her back challenging her to come to church today if she were still here and she replied "Thank you for the invitation and I know you do love me and us, but God, not some Man, God asked me to leave the church 6 years ago. I didn't know why since I loved church but He called me to leave and I did. I follow no man. Never have, no pastor, no priest, just my Savior." and "Again, you and Bob are lovely and I'm sure your church will be too, but God called me out of the church years ago and my family has never been more in the Word and on fire to be Chirst-like."

This is me now: :BangHead::tear::BangHead::tear:

I have a whole e-mail written and I don't think it's worth sending. She's not going to listen to me. She will continue to be in rebellion (she's a VERY strong personality person) no matter what I say. But it breaks my heart. It really does.

Thanks for listening. I needed to get that off my heart. Well, it's not really off my heart but I feel better for sharing it.

The only thing I can think of is they have listen to someone with bad theology and they bought it hook, line and sinker.

Could be there were churches that were man-only led as they left Christ out of the ministry. I can understand such a situation - but you just cant categorize all churches based on one or two.

I trust you will keep her in prayer. Is she just an E-mail friend, or do you have face to face contact?

They left MY church and there was definitely Christ preached there.

She's a face-to-face friend - one who even brought me food while Lauren was in the hospital. She also homeschools her kids and she will be running our standardized testing tomorrow at our homeschool group. She runs our science club so I see her at least 3x a month and talk to her somewhat regularly too. If it was just an e-mail friend, it would be easier because I'd just assume she hadn't been to a good church or something. :( Her sister and mom continue to attend our church and they don't buy into any of that hooey.

Sorry to hear, don't let it get you down. It's a good thing even if painful if you think about it.

That is what being Baptist is all about - personal interpretation, soul liberty, one can leave any church, and can get new direction from God any time via revalation or personal leading by the Holy Spirit.

What is most disheartening is I guess is her 'direction from God' and yours would seem mutually exclusive. That's the tricky part. Right? Who is right? Will have to wait to find out...

Well, I'd say that when a teaching directly contradicts Scripture, we can tell who's right.

You know Chadman, its not about WHO is right but WHAT is right.

That what is scripture which clearly says no man knows when Christ will return. Anything that contradicts the plain teaching of God's word is wrong and a false teacher.

Its sad that ordinarily intelligent people get caught up and believe what Camping and other say the scripture teaches when they'd be better off studying those scriptures for themselves with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Invite her round to your home, then hide, leaving one set of clothes for each of your family members including footwear in the hallway and the front door unlocked, just before she shows up....
