"I think Donald Trump is in the White House Because of Me"

Fake news writer was interviewed by the Washington Post. Quite revealing of something that many of us saw happening:

"My sites were picked up by Trump supporters all the time. I think Trump is in the White House because of me. His followers don’t fact-check anything — they’ll post everything, believe anything. His campaign manager posted my story about a protester getting paid $3,500 as fact. Like, I made that up. I posted a fake ad on Craigslist."

This "journalist" really thinks high of herself.
Where did you get that idea?

People are dumb, people won't fact check, she hates Trump and she thinks she single-handily got him elected with her "fake news"?
The person who said all of these things is the person she interviewed, Paul Horner, the creator of the fake news.

The journalist's questions are in bold print and the responses from Paul Horner are below the questions.

I think you've completely misread the article.

It doesn't matter, BB. The article could have been written by Paul the Apostle himself and it would be a lie.

I take it all back, it's true for Horner, though.

Why does she even bother with this Horner troll then?:

Matt Forney: Forney, a blogger and member of the Valizadeh school, proudly crowned himself the most-hated man on the Internet after his argument “against female self-esteem” went viral last fall. Forney is a professional Internet troll, and has actually published a book to that effect. Publishing blog posts with titles like “Why Fat Girls Don’t Deserve to Be Loved” is, apparently, a profitable enterprise.

then he trolls her:

Like Caitlin Dewey, I too studied journalism in college; indeed, I began my freshman year as a journalism major. Even before I took my first class, though, I understood the principles of being a good reporter: honesty, integrity and objectivity. A journalist’s first obligation is to the truth, not his or her personal beliefs. Reporters are required to have an open mind, treat their subjects with respect, and relay information even if—especially if—they do not agree with it. A journalist who cannot report the truth is no more than a propagandist.

Why interview him at all after what he said about her? 'Bout time they cracked down on the fake news on FB, tired of hearing about Jame Fonda's death and Beyonce's OD.

I agree that Horner is not a good guy.

Why does she even bother with this Horner troll then?
Because it is highly newsworthy.

Why interview him at all after what he said about her?
Because the media needs to cover even unsavory people - especially when they have enormous influence. Some of this guy's lies were spread on BaptistBoard and presented as unassailable fact, influencing the way some of our brothers and sisters viewed important issues of the election and post-election.

I agree.

Please name the names of these people who were influenced on the BB.

What is fact is the riots are occurring as a result of paid protesters. Just because one person placed a false ad somewhere does not change that fact.

Absolutely sincere question: What evidence do you have that the demonstrations are caused by paid protestors?

Yeah, and that's what some troll that lies routinely says he did, he could be lying about that again.

I think the Bernie Sanders people started it but I remember seeing paid advertisements in the newspaper for "organizers" for ANSWER years ago.

Some of the telephone numbers from the craigslist ads were valid, that's all I know. I had a friend that answered that same ad in Seattle but never heard back, though.
