I thought Holder Stepped Down, Resigned, Quit, was getting out of Dodge?

It was newsworthy when Holder announced he was resigning in late September, 2014. http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/25/politics/eric-holder-resignation/ Nevertheless, .... he's still here. Sort of like Elm Streets the most notorious, nightmarish serial killer ever, Freddy Krueger. In on of those sequels sequel, he keeps coming back. Just when you thought you were safe to go back in the water" you see Holder circling in the shallow water, like a great white!

Is it, me, or is this the most failed administration ever; closely followed by the failed resignation of the AG to actually leave Washington?

I don't believe Holder is leaving. In fact, I think he's staying. What say you?

And while we're at it ... what's happened to the court-martial and desertion trial of Sgt. Berdahl?

the murder trial of Col. "Work place violence advocate" Hasan?

Your news cycle is outdated. We're on to whether Justin Bieber's Calvin Klien underwear photos were altered. Get some priorities, man.

President Obama will have to get his nominee for attorney general past a Republican-controlled Senate, Democratic and Republican aides say.

A packed schedule after the election is almost certain to push the vetting process for Loretta Lynch into January, when Republicans are set to take power in the upper chamber.

“It seems likely [the Lynch vote] would be in the next Congress. It’s difficult to process an [attorney general] that quickly,” said a Democratic aide.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has not yet made a decision on whether to move Lynch’s nomination in the lame-duck session, according to spokesman Adam Jentleson.
But aides say the time crunch and growing GOP opposition to Lynch make it exceedingly unlikely that the replacement for Eric Holder will be confirmed in December.

Investigation of Bergdahl
On June 16, 2014, the U.S. Army said that it has begun investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the disappearance and capture of Bergdahl in Afghanistan. On June 25, 2014, the U.S. Army stated that there is "no evidence" that Bergdahl "engaged in any misconduct" during his years in captivity. The 2010 Pentagon investigation referred to above dealt with events leading up to his capture. In July 2014, Bergdahl was returned to active duty. In August 2014, it was announced that an investigation headed by Major General Kenneth Dahl is continuing, and had been extended. In December 2014 the Army referred Bergdahl's case to a four-star general for a possible court-martial.

Verdict and sentencing
On August 23, 2013, Hasan was declared guilty on all charges, and thus became eligible for the death penalty. Those deliberations began on August 26, 2013. By August 27, the thirteen-member jury panel heard testimony from 24 victims and family members of those wounded and killed during the 2009 Fort Hood shootings. Throughout the proceedings, Hasan declined to speak in his own defense or question any of the witnesses. He also did not provide any material explaining his decision not to mount a defense throughout the trial and sentencing phases. At the end, Hasan, acting as his own attorney, told the jury panel that the defense had rested its case. Judge Tara Osborn accepted Hasan's decision. In his final statement, lead prosecutor Colonel Mike Mulligan said

[Hasan] can never be a martyr because he has nothing to give... Do not be misled; do not be confused; do not be fooled. He is not giving his life. We are taking his life. This is not his gift to God, it's his debt to society. He will not now and will not ever be a martyr.

The jury panel then reconvened to decide on sentencing. On August 28, 2013, the jury panel recommended Hasan be sentenced to death. The panel also recommended Hasan forfeit his military pay and be dismissed from the Army, a separation for officers carrying the same consequences as a dishonorable discharge. It is the equivalent of being cashiered.

It's amazing what a small amount of research can do.

The question has nothing to do with research, but you knew that, wade? It did have everything to do with why the WH and media have moved on to other issues hoping the public forgets these stories and Bergdahl gets off with no sentence and Hasan a few years in federal prison to be exchanged in a terrorist prisoner swap.

But, hey! Thanks for taking time to look up the obvious.

Did you read the things I posted. Bergdahl is still under investigation. Hasan is sentenced to death. The current Attorney General stays in his post until a new one is appointed. Did you read those things? These things haven't been swept to the wayside. They are being dealt with.

But of course you knew that, didn't you xxx?

I think you are clueless with regards to current events. You might want to severely cut back or even quit posting to a forum titled "News/Current Events" if you don't even bother to stay abreast of the news.

Once again, my privacy has been violated by the willful divulging of information, information meant to be kept private. We use vatars and made up names to protect our right to privacy. But when members disrespect that privacy, and it is reported, and still not attended to, then I have a concern, which is why I write this comment today!
You have signed several posts on this very forum with your real name, Paul Zimmer. If you wished to keep your name off this forum, you should never have posted it here yourself.

In addition, you have posted about your books on this forum, again giving your real name in those posts.

Do you want me to link the posts where you have posted your name?

Stop playing the victim.
