Pentecostalism... Yes the majority of it is fake... But it is wonderful when it is real! Sunday nights Indian Valley Church of God service...

The "speaking in unknown languages" thingie is certainly fake, as the "no pants on women" stuff, etc.

Does post # 94 get an answer?
Please note the wording... I would not speak against minor things (I did not tell her the following were wrong)...

1. Dress
2. Smoking
3. Drinking
4. Secular music
5. Materialism

And to interpret...

1. Dress - Pants, shorts, dresses, whatever, do not affect the salvation....
... It is nice, though, to see people in church looking nice.
2. Smoking - Don't like it... Let Christ deal with it
3. Drinking- Don't like it... Let Christ deal with it
4. Secular music - Sometimes I listen to it myself. I do listen to the music on the bbnradio.org
5. Materialism - Poor or rich... Doesn't matter to me. We do have problems, though, when we are competition on who owns the nicest house or has the brightest career and end up shaming the poor.

And... Agreeing with the Apostle Paul...

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.- 1 timothy 2:9-10

When Paul talked about women and their way of dressing, he was telling them to dress in order to honor Christ Jesus, not to dress as a "trophy wife" for her husband to flaunt to all his pagan male friends who would then lust after her. She was to dress with dignity to honor Christ over her husband.

You SHOULD say it if you lived in Goofoffistan.
I will drive the hour to get to the Indian Valley Church of God tucked in the mountains of Virginia. The road there went from two lanes, unmarked road, to dirt road before getting there. following the GPS. It is amazing to find a very large church with well dressed people, smiley faces, warm hearts, and the Spirit I found in the church many decades ago. When going to prayer after the sermon the men will pray on the left side and the woman on the right. I asked the preacher when the people started doing this and his reply was somewhere in the middle east.

If they had a church in your section where I knew the people and the pastor as good people I would recommend you visiting. I personally cannot recommend any denomination or church without first visiting. The link below is the Thanksgiving service I went to Sunday where the minister preached wonderfully from Psalms 103...

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. - Psalms 103

I seldom listen to KJVO preachers, as they have at least one false doctrine.

Saint Augustine was brought up in a partying atmosphere. In his younger days he and his buddies would have a different sexual partner every week. While in Italy Augustine embraced the Christian religion. On returning to Africa the Roman Empire was being brought down by the barbarian forces. In his log book Augustine writes, "In every man lieth a serpent." And then Augustine himself perished as the barbarians were sacking his town.

These forces are at work in the United States... Groups of people going from sexual relationship to sexual, unable to find the lasting contentment they seek.

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: - 1 Corinthians 5:9

I emphasize to every one who reads this post... Stay away from the partying scene. Once the devil latches on he will pull you down to places you don't want to go... Especially places of eternal torment where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Agreed, stay away from the parting scene. Stay away from fornication..

Additionally, stay away from the GOSSIPING scene. Stay away from gossiping about professing Christians, by name, on a public board.

Additionally, don’t imagine what women with wonderful bodies are doing in their private lives.

Additionally, let each person concentrate on their own sinful activity and thoughts… that will keep them plenty busy with their own personal sin rather than imagining what women with wonderful bodies are doing in their spare time.

peace to you
