I want to apologize

Precepts

New Member
In the recent time I have spent in the BV/T forum, I have come across in my usual manner to jest in ways unacceptable to many of you. I apologize for that and I will not be posting anymore for at least awhile. I will be reading the posts if the administrators and moderators will allow me to excercize those rights as a BB member. If they so choose to suspend my BB privileges then that will be their sole decision.

Thank You,

Brother Ricky Underwood

Dear Brother Precepts,

There were times that you irritated me a little bit by some of your posts. But did not I also irritate you? I am just beginning to get to know you and I will very much miss both you and your posts if you quit posting. :( Let's both learn from our mistakes and grow together in Christ.

Well I, for one, sort of enjoyed rattling your cage right back.
:D

I didn't ever think you were mean spirited.

You know how I stand Precepts.
You've never offended me to the no return point.
I take all you dish out, because i like to dish it out too.
I like debating you. So don't go anywhere.

Precepts, you annoyed me and I tried to annoy you back, and it's true that I "enjoyed" it. I don't know what to say except it takes a man to say what you did and if it means anything to you I have a renewed respect 4U.

Bro Ricky,

Yes why leave? You're not any more offensive than anyone else. Certainly you haven't been removed by the powers that be here? That would be a shame. :(

You know Ricky, if peopel who were offensive would leave (of which you are not one) it would only be us KJV, non ccm, non ecumenical folks left here, and then who would we debate and help expose?

You NEED to stay Bro.

Ah Jim, ya had to go and spoil it. Precepts admitted he was offensive, at least many percieved him as such, except biased KJVO's like J__ W___. I admit I'm offensive alot, esp to weird posts from people like J__ W___. :D I think Precepts will come back, I hope he does actually. If you or he holds there position regarding the KJV, so be it, but some cross the line of sanity when they sadly imply that one is out of God's will when they prefer the MV's over the KJV. Sound Familar? Will K posted an article from E.L. Bynum which seemed to have the unscriptural notion (if I read it right) that to "move along" (my words) to MV's you'll have to give an account at the Judgment Seat of Christ, as if using MV's are wood, hay, and straw.
And BTW, what have you actually exposed? nothing except your preconcieved man made myth. Sorry, Precepts for hijacking your thread, but I felt Bro Jim had to be exposed for propogating the myth. :D

Precepts,

You apologized to whomever you've offended and it seems no one wants to see you leave. I enjoyed reading your posts and hope that you change your mind about leaving.

It would be a good idea to request moderators to remove your own posts when you calm down and decide it was flaming, too harsh, somewhat unfair or inaccurate.

Nobody stays totally controlled in heated debates. The flesh loves to argue. When the carnal nature argues mercilessly, rudely about "spiritual topics" it accomplishes two:

1. feels "spiritual" or "superior"
2. vents satanic hostility disguised as "doctrine" or "opinion" or "logic"

Most everybody succumbs to such snares at one time or another. Or at least says something stupid you regret later, which is good training in humility.

My foot's been in my mouth so many times, it's actually starting to TASTE GOOD.

Ha! Be nice to us and yerself---STAY, Precepts.

Dear Brother Ricky,

Peace and grace to you in Jesus Christ our Lord. Please do not leave? I will miss you tremendously. Your posts have been like a breath of fresh air to me, and you have given me so many lauphs that I will never forget. You have been given a wonderful gift to be able to bring out the truth in a wonderful way, and not only do I need you here, but those who need to hear the truth need you here? I know that we all can do those very same things we accuse others of doing, and it is sad indeed, but we have all done it, and I find it very brave and honorable that you have apologized for it. All one needs to do, is take a break now and then, and not allow ourselves to fall to the temptations of doing what we shouldn't do, but yet do it anyway. I think we have all been guilty of this, and I also apologize. You are a wonderful brother in Christ, and if you do decide to go, please keep in touch. I love you dearly brother, and may the Lord continue to richly bless you in all you do in service to Him and his.

Love in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour,
michelle

Vaspers, I disagree. I think the Moderators/Administrators like to have flames and harsh posts on the Baptist Board. That is why they don't allow posters to delete their own posts at all or even edit their own posts after just a minute or two.

Everybody posts a harsh post now and then, but the Moderators/Administrators contribute to the low level of spirituality on the Board by refusing to allow posters to edit their posts after they have calmed down.

I think that is deliberate on their part. It's like going to the races just to see a crash, or going to a hockey game just to see a fight. The Moderators/Administrators want the Board to be heated, harsh, and even hateful and vicious because that sort of thing attracts a crowd and this board is all about numbers of hits. That's why they keep the lists of web pages and the number of hits at Baptist Top 1000.com. It is the electronic equivalent of the Hyles numbers game.

I think that the edit function is limited because people abused it. People would write something very inflammatory purposefully, then go back and edit it out after getting a reaction. I've heard that rationale on other boards, and I would imagine that the same things go on here.
