So why is it offensive to have to prove that you are a citizen of these United States, but it is not offensive to have to prove that you have insurance?

Interesting. Also makes me wonder how illegal aliens are going to get health insurance.

The two are not the same. One is because it is a possible over reaching of government authority much like Gestapo tactics of just being stopped and searched for no reason. The other is to get a service.

So would you say that roadside checkpoints for seat belts (often done on holiday weekends) would also be considered a Gestapo tactic?

Yes absolutely along with traffic stops to check for those who drive while drinking. Both violate the constitution, but we no longer use it as what we base our laws on.

Having to "show your papers" to prove you have insurance is not a Gestapo type tactic?

Being required to pay a fine for choosing not to purchase a service is not a Gestapo type tactic?

This is the logic, the mind set that sweeps in things like Marxism and communism and dictators. If we do not buy the products the government wants us to buy we get fined! Talk about spitting on the graves and making a mockery of those who have died for our freedoms from government intervention into our personal lives! Targus it looks like Obama and marxism all the way for you and your followers.

So what are you saying?

OBVIOUSLY, I am saying that being required to buy something by the government or pay a fines IS a gestapo type tactic.

But wouldn't it have been better if you had asked for clarification on my meaning BEFORE accusing me of "spitting on the graves and making a mockery of those who have died for our freedoms..."?

And BEFORE accusing me of supporting "Obama and marxism all the way"?

Take a look at FAL's avatar, misquoting the Bible.

My Bible says,

"For the wages of sin is death"

Not

"For the wages of sin are death"
