As we know, A catholic will often give the sign of the cross.
The reason is: "It is a very significant prayer because Christians are acknowledging their belief in the triune God, or the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit."
Several years ago, I was serving communion. Just prior to us taking the elements one of the other servers - (a former Catholic)) gave the sign of the cross.
Granted, I would not expect the pastor to make an "on the spot correction" But should he talk to this individual later - should he bring it up as a point of teacher at some point to the full church? What action should the pastor do /not do?
Now - this happen some 20 years ago - so I dont remember what happened afterwards.
