There is no place in scripture where it states what you must believe about Christ to be saved from eternal hellfire, except that everyone who believes in Him has eternal life.

Sure it does:

" But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." ( Matthew 4:4 ).
" And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." ( Luke 4:4 ).

One either believes the entire Bible, and everything that is written in it, or they do not.
There are no "high points", and there no "essential" doctrines.

If it's on the pages, God's children will believe every word of it.
Those who are not of God, will not believe them ( John 8:43-47 ).

The reprobates will be judged based on their deeds, which will be to their loss, since they do not have the perfect righteousness of Christ imputed to them. The elect, chosen by God before the world began, have already been judged in Christ and He lived and died for the elect and has a perfect righteousness which God imputes to them.

Then they are in an awful spot, as the Bible says: Acts of the Apostles 17:31 because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. If one stands before God without the perfect righteousness of Christ, they will not be part of those in the new heavens and earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

You're preaching to the choir Ken. Is this post meant somehow to refute the fact that the elect are going to be judged by their works? It doesn't.

It blows my mind, the damage that one little word added to the gospel has done.
