I don't mind at all. I sure enjoy MINE.

I just didn't realize that the 'joy of my salvation' meant stopping by Wal-Mart to get supplies for Heaven. :tongue3:

 

I agree with this on both answers. No need to repeat it. "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves. Not of works, lest anyone should boast." I changed the words slightly from the King James that I read, but the message is still there. I called upon the Lord on May 18, 1963 and was forgiven and saved and placed in the family of God FOREVER!

 

It don't but my heart doctor told me to lighten up a little so it didn't stress my heart so much and even while taking care of our church, I use humor a lot, especially when welcoming the crowd to make them feel a part of us. It is just my way of working. I can get rough too.

This reminds me of a story call Geroge Street I heard from a website. I posted it sometime ago on the board, but it was about a man that lived on George street and each day he would hand someone a track and ask "If you died today, would you go to Heaven?"

TinyTim, you're asking this on a Baptist only forum, so I'm not surprised you're getting no debate.

Despite all the disagreements here and despite the many stripes of Baptists, aren't most Baptists OSAS?

Or is it that the non-OSAS people (that I seem to recall now) are no longer around?

 

Because I have repented of my sins and have put my faith in Christ.

When I stand before God, the only defense I will be able to give for myself is in the words of the old hymn, "Nothing in my hand I bring/Simply to Thy cross I cling".

If I am saved now, I will be saved ten years from now.
