If you receive the mark of the beast, you will lose eternal life

BACs who choose to receive the soon-coming “mark of the beast” will forfeit eternal life.

Everyone who wants the privilege to “buy and sell” must take the mark of the beast
Rev 13:15-18 • “He (the Beast from the earth) was granted power to give breath to
the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause
as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all,
both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their
right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one
who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number
of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.”

Everyone who chooses to take the mark of the beast will spend eternity in hell
Rev 14:9-12 • “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on
his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God,
which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night,
who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God
and the faith of Jesus.”

This seems as good a reason as any to not believe in OSAS.

So you are saying that he is unsaved because he thinks "eternal" actually means "eternal"?

What EV6 is really saying is that Jesus is not going to keep all the Father has given Him, that He is not able to keep them, and that He will lose some even after He stated He would lose exactly NONE of ALL that the Father gives Him-- John 6:39.

EV6 begs to differ with God and wrests Scripture out of context to do so.

EV6 cannot distinguish between the lost and the saved in Scripture, nor does He rely upon the word of Christ or believe that of all given, none would be lost as He stated. EV6 found a loophole to show Christ wrong within his own finite mind via the wresting of His words. It is all really shameful.

SDA's, JW's, and other cults LOVE to talk about how eternal ISN'T eternal and wrest the Scriptures.

Let them apply this logic to ETERNAL God as well.

Always remember to buy low and sell high. Besides, the mark of the beast is not yet a publicly traded commodity. It is scheduled to IPO in late 2014. This will be there ticker symbol.

1. I certainly don't believe in the man-made tradition of OSAS because it is debunked by Gal 5:4 stating that some have "fallen FROM Grace" and been "severed FROM Christ" and in Matt 18 Christ teaches the lesson about "Forgiveness Revoked". In John 15:1-7 He warns of "Branches IN ME" that are "cut off" and die and cast into the fire.

2. I think everyone here would agree with not taking the Mark of the Beast - whether or not they hold to the man-made tradition of OSAS.

3. I don't see how this refutes OSAS.

Roberto, you know I have considerable respect for you ... and I would like to promise you that:

MANY BACs will take the mark of the beast and lose any eternal life they might have had!

P.S. You understand the "might" refers to some BACs who have fallen from grace-faith-salvation!

The "number of his name" is said to be 666 in Rev 13. It is an identifier for the beast. A way to identify the beast.

The word "OR" signifies that these are not the same thing -

So the mark, the number and the name of the beast are 3 different things but they all apply to the beast.

The name and number of his name - are both referring to the name of the beast. John is living at the time of the Roman Empire - the official language of the Roman empire is Latin even though John is writing in the common language legacy left from the previous Empire - Greek.

So John is saying that the name of the beast will include Latin letters -- some of which also have numeric values such as "V"(5) and "X"(10) and "C"(100) etc.

So for example
LXIII = 63.
XCIV = 94.

I believe it is correct to say that Rev 12 deals with the coming of Christ (as Messiah) and then what followed it - 1260 years of dark ages persecution of the saints by a certain Holy Roman Empire. (Takes you to 1700's) at the end of Rev 12 and Rev 13 recaps that 1260 year period and then takes us to the next phase.

As for the "Mark" or sign of the beast. It is also mentioned in Rev 14:8-12.

The saints worship the true God - who "made the heavens and the earth and the seas and the springs of waters" Rev 14:7 and the lost will take the mark of the beast and worship him instead according to Rev 14:8-11.

There will also be an "hour of his judgement has come" message according to Rev 14:7 as part of this final warning. We know it is the final message to earth because Rev 14 ends with a description of the 2nd coming.

The saints are said to be those who 'KEEP the commandments of God AND their faith in Jesus" in Rev 14:12. So that sort of gets us back to the idea of obedience vs rebellion against God.
