21 posters on ignore? Not much in way of discussion I'd bet. Lullz...

People that are on it are there because:

1. They question my or someone else's salvation.

2. They personally insult me at least 3 times.

3. They are monomaniacal posters, constantly posting on the same subject matter.

4. They continually say erroneous things. Not necessarily theology issues, but more general knowledge stuff - - Did you know that Mr. Rogers was a sniper before his children's TV show ? Missiles hit the Pentagon on 911, not a plane. The moon landing was faked, your cable TV box has a camera in it and they are watching you, etc.

5. They say something racist.

I'm not missing any discussion by having these sorts on ignore.

I just put on my big boy pants and read them all. If I ever reach the point where I think BB has such an affect that I need to ignore someone I'll just put the whole thing on ignore and move on.

Doesn't look like I have anyone on ignore, but I've been told I'm others. Consider it their loss, though I'm sure they feel differently.

I find too much humor in the posts of those who do not like me and say nasty things to me and about me to put them on ignore. Truly they bring many laughs into my life. I know there are some who will find something negative to say to me regardless of what I post ... but such replies say a lot more about them than it does about me.

Keep the humor flowing.

People who've sent me nasty PMs get put on my ignore list, then it doesn't happen.

I read all posts, obviously, my ignore list should not be a problem for anyone.

I only have 2 on ignore and your #3 is the main reason.

I'm not missing any discussion by having these sorts on ignore.

I agree - but I would put the word meaningful between "any" and "discussion"

Are you trying to tell me that none of these are true? :tear:

You know, its funny, I haven't seen any of those since I put someone on ignore. Hmmmm

I have 2 that have been on ignore for about 4-6 months, as they were constantly just spewing nonsense, asking foolish questions and demanding responses from others, but never responding to other's questions.

Haven't seen one of them posting for a couple of weeks or so though.

Course I do see what they posted when they are quoted, but for some reason it's not as irritating as reading them first-hand.
At any rate it helps keep my BP manageable. :godisgood:

No I don't, I find to much amusement from others to put them on ignore. I think I may be on someone's ignore list although I have no idea why.

I ignore one person, though not by using any account features. I wouldn't even know how to do that.

I just scroll past that person's posts and others' quotes of him. It's pretty simple. I see the name at the top of the post, scroll past it. I don't typically look at any thread he starts, either.

But the reason is not that he has spoken against me, offended or slandered me, or anything else he could have done to me. On the contrary, he has done his best to be a gentleman toward me.

The reason I ignore him I that he promotes a brand of "Christianity" which makes me really wonder if he's a believer. That's a heavy charge to make, one not allowed here. So, instead of reaching the point of openly accusing, I simply don't engage the guy

And the best way for that to happen is not to read his stuff

I've only used the ignore function on another board and that is just to help me remember that those two people are violently opposed to the Gospel and anything remotely having to do with God and they will verbally attack me BADLY when in discussions about religion or beliefs or anything. I wish I could have some sort of a mark next to their name to remember but the ignore is good enough and I can just click on their post to read it. But it helps me remember to not bother responding to them when things come around to talking about God, morality or anything like that.

But I've never used the ignore function here on BB.
