Having a somewhat of a time experiencing life as an accidental Mennonite, I am often less shocked by the lyrics and extremely confused by the way they dress the Christian singers.
But having said that, now I look over the song "Oceans. "
"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Saviour"
And now I regret listening to that one on repeat, because it just seems like instead of asking for protection or God to be a shield overall, it is just saying "I'd like to go through a really, really difficult time."
I don't want to go through a difficult time
If Jesus said the day has enough trouble of its own already, I'd rather deal with the day as it is and not add anything to it
