I know that I am not.

And I am tired of misrepresentation.

Mexican Nationals were promised jobs. Under the NAFTA trade agreements, the Mexican nationals are here collecting on the jobs that they were promised.

American voters allowed those jobs to GO TO INDIA, CHINA, & OTHER COUNTRIES.

Ironically, some of those jobs came BACK TO MEXICO ... Japanese companies did not like the quality of workers and the time lag differential involved in shipments ...

Maybe WE should vote on that bad quality and move those 10 million jobs we gave away BACK to MEXICO.

You would not be able to find any illegal MEXICAN NATIONALS here ...

They were also promised the right to negotiate fair labor deals and the right to collective bargaining in their home country without government interference. Thats not happening. Guess its easier to cross the border and enjoy the benefits of the American labor movement that our fathers and grandfathers fought for than to fight for it in ones own country. I've always felt that people deserved the government they lived under, however, when you can walk a few blocks and skip across the creek, why care about your country?

But, next time, don't forget my context.

NAFTA WAS AND IS bad legislation.

But, in the Mexican mindset: "Big brother USofA promised us a job. If I have to go get the job that is ok. But, I will work and earn what was promised to me."

Think about this: if you had not worked in 3 years and your cousin pulled up to your house in his 2 year old chevy extended cab pickup and said, "Jump in Joseph! You and I are gonna go to work in Mexico for $500,000/year! We will send money back to your wife and kids so that they CAN EAT!"

Would YOU go find YOUR passport?

That is not hypothetical, that is WHAT is happening. The average hourly wage in Mexico was $1 - $2/ (a few make into the 40k plus) The average they make here is $10/hour+ ... And if you were hungry and your children were hungry and YOU were PROMISSED a job ...

The difference is that I understand the Mexican mind, and a promise is a promise. Clinton promised them Jobs and then big business diverted those jobs to India and China.

Did he do that on purpose, I do not know. But, that is what happened.

I say - shut down all business to and from India and China over the next 3 years and send it to Mexico.

Let the US keep its word. And then we would not have Arkansas as the 2d fastest growing Latino population in the country ...
