I am a certified driving instructor - and I do NOT like to see a cop in my rear view mirror.

I will pull off to the side of the road if necessary.

There used to be a radar trap on I35 just north of San Antonio at a small town called Selma. A makeshift courthouse sat right on the freeway. I think their main source of income was traffic tickets. They would do anything to trap you. Put an officer in a derelict vehicle off on the side of the road with a radar gun. He'd clock you and call ahead just over a small hill. They would have the whole police force 3 or 4 officers waiting to stop you. They frequently had 5 or 6 vehicles stopped writing tickets. It was a regular assembly line.

The state finally shut 'em down for not paying the state their portion of the ticket tax. :applause:

    That is semantics, pure semantics!

I hear Salty, because I feel the same ind of dread. I fear getting a ticket that I can't afford to pay for, and I fear teling my wife even more!

If you are not breaking the law, why be afraid?

Maybe you can explain this to me? Why resist the directives of a cop? Right or wrong....they have guns and the authority to arrest by any means if a suspect resists their orders. Sure they need to temper their methods, but if a cop tells me to put my hands up, and not make any moves ... I am going to do as they say.

Yet Brown, Garner and others took stupid chances and sadly it cost them dearly. So, why do people do dumb things when cops confront them?

    Please be honest.
