Now pay close attention and I will explain it to you again.Academia., and experinence may mean something to you TC, but to mean it does add up to anything more or less than what Obama presented. Secondly, the man is as phony as a four dollar bill.
I am looking for authenticism. And from what I have observed, he lacks that quality. And I should note, that I once held Ted in high esteem. He was my pick. But the more I see, the more I don't like.
Sorry, TC, but you seem to be hung up on academics and a lofty resume making the man. You even boast of that yourself. And while these things look good on paper, let me remind you that paper is something I line my bird cage with.
I know enough about Cruz to say he is not what I thought he was. Now he is a huge disappointment.
Selah!
The post that ITL quoted sums up this thread.
Now pay close attention and I will explain it to you again.
You said he was "as inexperienced as Obama."
I showed you he had much much more experience than Obama. Understand now? You made an incorrect statement regarding his experience. I showed that he had much much more government experience than Obama. Got it?
You cannot be talking about Ted Cruz because your description of him here is not Ted Cruz.
Okay, I will try one more time. I know this is difficult for you so I will make it as simple as possible.Right, and a church with an attendance of 35 has "MUCH MORE" people than a church with 34?! Thanks for the help TC!
Acually that's a total of eleven years.President Obama served 7 1/2 years in the Illinois State Senate.
He then served 3 1/2 years in the US Senate.
That is 10 1/2 years of government experience.
LOL! I know. It's late. My brain went to bed about an hour ago.Acually that's a total of eleven years.
Awe so cute! Zaac shares something ITL shared and I can't see, because IT is on my ignore list! Is that sweet of Zaac to make sure I know what others say about or to me? What would this forum do without Zaac to stir the pot, over, over and over again!?
Ted Cruz is pals with the Bush's who are pals with the Clintons.
It doesn't get more insider than that. Unless you look at his wife's resume which makes her a friend of the Bush's and an insider as well.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.
25 years of the samo samo is enough.

President Obama served 7 1/2 years in the Illinois State Senate.
He then served 3 1/2 years in the US Senate.
That is 11 years of government experience.
Ted Cruz served as staff on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court for 2 years.
He served as associate deputy attorney general in the U.S. Justice Department for 4 years.
He served 2 years as Director of Policy and Planning at the Federal Trade Commission.
He was Solicitor General of Texas for 5 1/2 years.
US Senator from Texas for 3 years.
That is 16 1/2 years of government service.
Your example of an attendance increase from 34 to 35 is 3%,
Cruz's government experience is 50% greater than President Obama's.
50% is much greater than 3%.
Understand now?
I was trying to explain something his comments indicated he didn't understand. It was simple math. And I couldn't help but notice you "disliked" my post. What is it about math that you dislike?I like your patronizing attitude. That is what is best about the Baptist Board.

Yes. I live right on the US/Mexico border. 91% of the county I live in is Hispanic. They, and their families, have been here since Texas was still part of Mexico (1830s). And they are much tougher about border issues than are the few Anglos who live here. They came here legally and have no sympathy at all for those who flout the law. It's a fair question. Can folks of Hispanic descent be trusted to be tough on the border?

You understand why the Japanese were interned during WWII and not the Europeans.
