Will we immediately know all the answers to the questions of free will and election, will we have to ask, or will we care? More important, will it be important to the Lord that we understand at the point of glorification?

I care. Doctrines have consequences.
Thanks for the response. The reason I ask the question is because of the example of earthly relatives in heaven. For years, (without any Scriptural reference) I have heard that Mom and Dad will be just like the people down the street. Christ said that marriage was not a part of eternity.
In other words, are we going to be so busy praising the Lord and glorifying His name that things like election will have no real importance?
Another point to consider is that both sides will be represented in heaven, so half of the folks are going to be quite disappointed. Personally, of course, I think it is going to be the ones who deny election.
Will we immediately know all the answers to the questions...
...will we care?
My opinion is that, once we get our glorified bodies we will be just like Christ (I John 3:2) and we will have perfect knowledge. We will have no more questions.
I think not. Our total existence will now be to praise the Lord. We will not care about doctrine, standards, Bible versions, who was right, who was wrong. Heaven will be none about us and all about Him.
I agree. Will be perfect like our heavenly Father is perfect. All error will have been swept away and we will enjoy nothing more than the presence of our Redeemer.
Not in heaven, they don't. All that matters is God's grace and our reception of it. You'll be too busy praising God to look around you and see that Calvinism, Aminianism, "oneness" and all the other doctrines don't amount to squat in the face of the Living God.I care. Doctrines have consequences.

are you saying that we will have ALL wisdom--ALL knowledge-of how everything is created, works, and consists at that very moment ?

He didn't say "ALL" he said "perfect" which is as complete as it will be from a human perspective as created beings.
" Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." 1 John 3:2
"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind." Isaiah 65:17
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
Since all former things are passed away, there will be nothing negative to compare your lack of knowledge as a standard of comparison in determining that your knowledge is not perfected. No one will ever know what God knows, because God knows what it is like to be eternal. That knowledge is something no created being can ever experience. But what knowledge we will have will be perfect, and we will be content with it, because there will be no such thing as LACK of contentment
well as holding to the preterist view I believe the Former things are already passed away and we are in the new heaven and earth--so ill have to disagree
If we are in the New Heaven and Earth, Heaven isn't what God said it was.
Your view here makes God a liar.
you must enjoy following me around on threads calling me a liar and presenting false accusations against me ?:love2::love2:

Prove me wrong. If you can't, my statement is truth.
