Did God create the universe in 6-24 hr days? Or do some scientist who say Billlions upon Billions of years pull weight? Why do you believe what you believe?

I'm not sure why you included the response: "I believe in evolution" in the poll responses.
Evolutionary Creationists are old-earth creationists and do not agree with 6 - 24 hours days interpretion.

I'm not attracted to Schroeder’s solution. True, it's unique; but its very strength is its weakness - it inserts a modern scientific theory (albeit a firmly established one) into the biblical account.

The answer's quite simple really - Sailhammer doesn't believe that the universe was created in 6 - 24 hour days.Since my view is not represented... I'll just post a link:

I put "I believe in evolution" as a choice because on here it's like a box of chocolates....you never know what your gonna get. :wavey:
Actually, Sailhamer would say that that Bible doesn't say one way or the other. It may have happened that way or not. He would also say that determining such is not the point of Genesis. So I cannot answer the OP definitively since my view is more of a Biblical agnostic understanding (the Bible does not say one way or another). The answer's quite simple really - Sailhammer doesn't believe that the universe was created in 6 - 24 hour days.
If his view is your's you'd vote NO.

And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
Genesis 1:31 - 2:1-2 NAS77
The Good Book says He created it in six days and took the seventh day to rest. I'm good with that. I don't have to do linguistic gymnastics. I don't have to attempt to reconcile theories conjured in the mind of simple men with the clear declaration of our Creator. God's breathed out Word says He created this all in six days. That pretty much settles it whether I can wrap my mind around it or not.
I believe there is good science and there is Science Fiction......like evolution.
