the Bile says that the HS had not yet be given to them, come upon them, for jesus had not yet been gloried!

he had to die and rise again to heaven in order to have him send the HS to Earth to establish the church, correct?

So whren He came as a mighty rushing wind, the Spirit both indwelt and filled them up same process!

So why are you convinced that even in the light of that scripture that it is only one of them. Tell me why you believe it cannot be both?

The Holy Ghost came upon them in the sense that they are able to see God's supernatural work. But He also cam and indwelt them as Jesus promised to send the comforter and as Paul wrote is the "earnest" of our future redemption.

What purpose does it serve to say it is only one and not the other. Seems like an uneducated bias to me.

Because if it was both, there was no proof for that ":Baptism in the Holy Ghost" charasmatics long to receive from the Lord!

What are you talking about. They spoke in tongues at Pentecost. That is not the indwelling that is different.

awaken needs to prove from the text that they were already indwelt by the H, and thatwhen he came upon them, they were "baptized" by the HS, and thus spoke in tongues, just as we would today once we received that second bvlessing after already saved!

She wants to have the current experience to be exactly as it was in acts!

Well she cannot do that, its just not true.

I do not have a problem with that.

I care not for that terminology used by charismatics.

Can't happen, that was a special event to show the world the HG arrived as Jesus said He would.

Very possible! Just curious why the Bible does not say anything about the Holy Spirit within on that day?

I do believe it could be both! But by saying both I am saying two different workings of the HOly Spirit happen at the same time!

What did they see and hear on the day of Pentecost? What was the sign of the HOly Spirit being upon them?

The next example in the scriptures is the Disciples at Ephesus (Acts 19:1-6)

"While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." So Paul asked, "Then what baptism did you receive?" "John's baptism," they replied. Paul said, "John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus." On hearing this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied." (Acts 19:1-6)
This passage says that the Holy Spirit "came on" these disciples. Notice that this is the same wording which is used to describe the baptism of the Holy Spirit in all the other examples.
