Infrastructure Repairs Before Health Care...

I can still hear the words of Obama telling millions of screaming supporters that when he gets into the WH, he will put millions of Americans back to work making the much needed repairs to our failing infrastructures all over this nation. And I can still remember how I felt if he did this, if he truly made this a priority in his early days of the presidency, I could support the man.

However, 10 months after his innaugeration, he has somehow gotten off track to fix this nations once super infrastructure. We need a POTUS who can get his priorities in a row, which means spending all his waking-days, time, energy, and money on immediately repairing the Crumbling highways, roads, bridges, underground pipes and sewers, and over taxed electrical energy conduits.

It would've been great if Obama made it his FIRST priority of business on January 20, 2009.

If he would just get the gears meshed and the wheels moving in the direction of making the necessary repairs to this nations' infrastructure, I can't see Americans getting upset if he tacked on a perk for each worker in the form of health benefits.

An immediate bill to fund the rebuilding of our crumbling infrastructure would be like the old adage: "Give me a fish, I eat today; Teach me to fish, and I eat for the rest of my life!" Our elected officials are missing the boat on this one, and I don't believe that Americans would be upset and angered over spending trillions to rebuild our infrastructure.

Of course, the above observation is simply an opinion from one person sitting on the sidelines, watching the game being played on the field in front of me.

Shalom,

Pastor Paul

I would call this roads before heart operations. I just can't understand your priorities. Of course, you probably have health insurance and want that pot hole fixed in front of your house. The poor guy who just lost his job and his house and has a heart attack can just die for all you care. Right?

I say health care is more important by far!

Of course health care is more important to this administration! Fixing bridges, roads, dams etc., doesn't give the "0" any more control of your life ----being your HC provider does!!!!

No wonder HC is a priority.

Sure do wish somebody would shut the door; there's an awful lot of hot air being circulated!!:tongue3:

It is a very important issue.

That's why rushing into it, or using it to buy votes (see "Illegal immigrants," among other things), or allowing the government to control 1/6 of our economy under the auspices of "health care for all" is so dangerous.

nice job of showing grace, JustChristian.

Who are you speaking to? Get your act together. I'd say God shows grace. Are you God? We as Christians should show compassion. Turning our backs on poor people getting substandard health care in unChristian.

I have my act together, kemosabe. Careful what you assume. There are some of us who do more than you know. We just don't go through government channels to do it.

You're Over Re-acting....AGAIN!

Had you simply read my ENTIRE post, you would have read where I said that the health care program could be added as a perk for the millions hired to do the work. That is not ignoring the medical needs of those in need. Also, people will be injured and killed with our crumbling infrastructure.

Sorry, but, your argument is inane, try not to be so inane next time!

Shalom, and Christs' love to you,

Pastor Paul :type:

The more that government is involved in something the worst the situation becomes. Everything becomes politicized. Get the government, particularly the federal government, out of 90% of what it has stuck its nose into and the country will be much better off.

Roosevelt achieved a fair amount of control over America by building up the infra-structure. Study history.

I believe there are many times when government intervention is needed; health care is one of these instances.

So you're claiming that you grant saving grace to people?

No.

Try reading, this time with a modicum of comprehension.

I am saying that your posts lack grace.

Why else do you think you've been thrown off this site several times?

You know Alatide, you are big on talk. Just what are you doing for the poor? Be honest.

Years ago my wife took care of a sick neighbor who had cancer for over a year. She would go over every day, clean her house, cook meals, do shopping for her, change her bandages (her cancer was in her leg), and gave her company in her last days. This lady died. Normally, I wouldn't talk about this, many Christians do things like this all the time and never mention it to anybody.

So, besides talk, what are you doing for the poor?

when people do not know who they are it's just pathetic.
or prehaps theres a poster with amnesia and keeps guessing at their identity.
