Inspector General Was Asked to Delay Damning White House Prostitution Scandal

Two years ago a slew of Secret Service agents got busted for hiring prostitutes while on an official trip in Cartagena, Colombia. That scandal erupted after an agent failed to properly pay a woman for her services. They were fired and the White House denied aides had any involvement.

Now, the Washington Post is out with a stunning report about the scandal not only detailing that former White House presidential advance team member and volunteer Jonathan Dach officially registered a prostitute as an overnight guest in his hotel room, but that White House aides knew about Dach's actions and interfered with an Inspector General investigation of the incident.

“We were directed at the time . . . to delay the report of the investigation until after the 2012 election,” David Nieland, the lead investigator on the Colombia case for the DHS inspector general’s office, told Senate staffers, according to three people with knowledge of his statement.

Nieland added that his superiors told him “to withhold and alter certain information in the report of investigation because it was potentially embarrassing to the administration.”

Also it turns out that one of the agents busted for having a prostitute in his hotel room (he registered her, for heaven's sake!) got reassigned to be a policy adviser in the Office on Global Women’s Issues at the State Department. And his dad is a big Obama campaign contributor. In July, he was named a senior counselor with the Department of Health and Human Services, where part of his responsibilities include handling the next phase of the Affordable Care Act.

It's a cover up, so it reminded me of Nixon, and yes, I think they all do it.

I do not know what ITL has said, but from what your state in response, it sounds like he and I may be agreeing on this one thought. If Nixon was impeached for covering up, things that would cast into light the break in that took place prior to his re-election, why should we not go after Obama for Benghazi and now this prostitute scandal? I think that any time a president intentionally tries to cover up news that may affect his re-election, that is worth investigating and being considered for impeachment. If it's good for the goose [Nixon], it should likewise, be good for the gander [Obama]. :smilewinkgrin:
