Islam has every intention of taking over the world and dominating the political process in every nation.

Yet think about it, Christianity has the same goal that all people in the world would become born again. The same idea is prevelent in Islam also.

Muslims worldwide are being encouraged to emigrate and set up Islamic communities. Maine is obviously one that will in time to come be a community that is predominantly run by people that are muslim through sheer weight of numbers.

Muslims do not seek to convert all people to Islam, and are happy in places like Egypt to allow the Christians there to maintain there faith providing that they do not evangalise muslims. The goal of muslims emigrating to the U.S is to eventually dominate the political process. It is not something that they mean to do to enslave people, it is seen as right and proper that their faith is the supreme truth, and it is the will of Allah that they should lead the political process.

    1. There is no evidence of some grand plot of Muslims to take over Maine. Only evidence of a group of Muslims enjoying democracy and assimilating to American society, and that there are many Bigots in Maine.

    2. Only Arminians have as a goal to try and convert everyone. The goal of a Calvinist is to be obedient to Jesus and preach the Word.

    3. The same is also true of Jews in Israel. They, likewise, are happy to allow Christians to practice their faith as long as they keep it to themselves.

    I disagree with you.

Christians do not seek to force someone to convert or die because Christianity is based upon a love relationship with Jesus. Yet Islam frequently forces conquered peoples to convert or die and is at war with all non-Islamic peoples, including Hindus, who in India have suffered great losses at the hands of Islam. Furthermore, Islam frequently issues the death penalty for those who leave Islam. Islam is a religion of compulsion and no one who is not Islamic would want to live in an all Islamic state such as Algeria.

In the case of Egypt, it is not all roses. Due to the holdover of Turkish law, any repairs or improvements of a church or any new churches have to be approved by the President of Egypt personally. Needless to say, permits are seldom granted, even for a coat of paint. Crimes against Christians go unpunished because the police are Islamic. All of this has been documented but it is vehemently denied by Egyptians.

The immigration of Islamists into the west should be halted in self-defense. Clearly western welfare is too high and the key to the situation in Maine is welfare reform.

You're right, Joseph, people having their taxes increased to pay for immigrants on the welfare dole are definitely bigots.

Good post, cmg. To compare Islamatization with Christianity missionary efforts is apples and oranges.

To paint a Mayor as a bigot, when he expresses concern about overburdening his tax base and community resources due to a steady influx of immigrants in a small community that already has a high unemployment rate and decreased industrial base is just plain absurd.

Lady Eagle, we have a major center for the Nation of Islam here and they are constantly attacking whites and Christians and Jews with postings on their billboard. In addition, there is in Plainfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, the Islamic Society of North America. I think that Islamic treatment of women is very cruel because they force women to wear Arab summer garments in the heat and humidity of Indiana, which must lead to near heatstroke in many cases. Islam is so backward and has such a history of human rights abuse that one wonders why they flee the Islamic world only to insist upon establishing the same system in the new home. Islam is a parasitical religion. Pure Islam leads to Algeria, a bloodbath concerned with who is the best Islamist.

The people of Maine should wake up and cut their extreme welfare system.

Unfortunately, I am afraid bigotry will always be with us as long as this earth exists. It even exists among people whom you think would know better in our country.

Yes, you would think those bigoted Muslims would change their ways when they come to this country. But since their religion/Quran teaches to kill the infidels, they probably won't reform any time soon. What a shame.

Plastic surgeons have been busy with some of these new Muslim immigrants, trying to reverse the damage done on female circumcisions/mutilation that has occurred in their former countries. It is a good thing it is outlawed in the US right now, but as the demographics of population change, over time, the laws will probably change regarding that, too. What a shame. I won't post links about that subject since this is a family friendly board and the links are quite graphic from a medical perspective.

A foster child from a Christian environment should be placed in a Christian environment if at all possible by the government, a foster child from a Muslim environment should be placed in a Muslim environment if at all possible by the government, etc.

Do you believe a Christian could take 5 breaks a day to pray? Some employers will not even allow a Bible to be displayed in the work place.

Why, so they can be assured of never hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ during their formative years? [IMG]

So what do you want, LE? Do you want the government to dictate what religion a child is to hear about? It is not the business of the government to spread the gospel.

Be very careful, LE, lest the power you want to give to the government is used to take foster children from Christian homes and place them in non-Christian homes in the same way that you apparently advocate foster children from Muslim homes being placed in non-Muslim homes.

I am not sure what your point is. Have the Muslims in Maine broken a law?

    LE,

Do you think that Muslims are the only ones on the welfare dole in this little town in Maine. I am thinking they got this reputation for being a large welfare city for a reason, and probably long before the Muslims showed up. Either way, the Mayor's comments were bigoted.

Then Christians who are scheduled to work on Sundays and on Wednesday evenings should be excused from working those scheduled shifts to attend church if all is going to be fair and equal.

The point of it is, they are infringing on the employer's rights of time management, staffing, production requirements.

It seems to me that the Muslims in Maine, to which this thread refers, have assimilated to the western ideal of democracy rather well. Which one of these Muslims have killed an infidel?

</font>[/QUOTE]If the government is interfering upon the employers rights for Muslims at the exclusion of other religions, then I agree with you. Then again, I would state that this is wrong no matter who it was. This, however, would be the fault of the government and not the Muslims.
