Interview with Obama

Several things have been established in this interview:

1. Obama has no idea what a Christian is.

What is a Christian?

2. His religion is works based rather than based on the blood of Christ.

Works may not save, but show me your works and I will show you your faith.

His mistakes are basic and foundational and go beyond the mistakes of an immature Christian. His mistake is all inclusive and believes everyone will go to heaven and there is no such thing as the wrath of God. You cannot be a Christian and deny God's wrath. If you do not understand the wrath of God at some level you do not understand salvation. He flat out denies it.

Tell us your understanding of the wrath of God to us. I am not saying God has no wrath, just want to know your understanding of it.

I will give you my understanding of an aspect of the wrath of God as demonstrated in history:

1. The world wide flood. [Genesis 6-8]

2. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. [Genesis 18-19]

3. Instruction to Israel to destroy all who lived in Caanan. [Numbers 33:50-56]

4. Judgment of Assyria and Babylon

5. Fall of the Roman Empire

6. Destruction of Nazi Germany and imperial Japan

A couple of other things to note in this interview:
FALSANI
Do you still attend Trinity?

OBAMA:
Yep. Every week. 11 oclock service.

Ever been there? Good service.

I actually wrote a book called Dreams from My Father, it's kind of a meditation on race. There's a whole chapter on the church in that, and my first visits to Trinity.
Obama said repeatedly during the campaign that he had no idea that Jeremiah Wright was preaching hate from the pulpit. He said he'd never heard him say anything like what was reported on the news. Yet in this interview, Obama said that he attended Trinity every week.

FALSANI:
Do you have people in your life that you look to for guidance?

OBAMA:
Well, my pastor [Jeremiah Wright] is certainly someone who I have an enormous amount of respect for.

I have a number of friends who are ministers. Reverend Meeks is a close friend and colleague of mine in the state Senate. Father Michael Pfleger is a dear friend, and somebody I interact with closely.

FALSANI:
Those two will keep you on your toes.

OBAMA:
And theyr'e good friends. Because both of them are in the public eye, there are ways we can all reflect on what's happening to each of us in ways that are useful.

I think they can help me, they can appreciate certain specific challenges that I go through as a public figure.

Obama claimed all during the campaign that he did not have personal relationships with these people. Did anyone besides me think he was lying??

Most people who did not vote for him did.

The same way I still call posters in this forum fellow Christians(irrespective of political beliefs) even though they have not exhibited at times the love of Christ toward fellow Christian posters in this forum during this past election cycle.
I take it you can't discern what a believer consists of. Sad from someone claiming to be one...

Works may not save, but show me your works and I will show you your faith.
if you preached obamas version of the gospel in churches, you'd have a lot of people going to hell with no idea of what the real gospel, or salvation is.
if his view is scriptural, if a person can go to heaven like he believes then our churches are preaching the wrong gospel.
but fact is, no ones going to heaven doing what obama believes gets a person to heaven.
otherwise your approving and supporting a works based gospel with no grace to it.
it's either 100% right or it's 100% wrong, the scriptures leaves no room for anything else when it comes to salvation.
and if it's wrong, then no one, including oabama, is going to heaven on a man made works based gospel.
