the "non-institutional" Churches of Christ. This group is notable for opposing congregational support of institutions such as orphanages and Bible colleges. Similarly, non-institutional congregations also oppose the use of church facilities for non-church activities (such as fellowship dinners or recreation); as such, they oppose the construction of "fellowship halls", gymnasiums, and similar structures. In both cases, opposition is based on the belief that support of institutions and non-church activities are not proper functions of the local congregation. So, is it wrong for a church to have a gym, fellowship hall, kitchen, ect?
What the meaning, purpose, and function of the church? Is the church a social club?
Through certain periods of times the church served different functions. In the past, in times of epidemics, church served as recovery centers and experimented with cures, but mostly served as a place to die.
In times of wars some churches converted to the hospitals, and treated wounded and paid last respects to dying solders.
Today church mostly served as entertainment facility and preoccupied with brain washing by denominational doctrines.
Church deeply involved in politics, investments, and money market games.
So, what the real church is? Or, what the real church should be like?
Matthew 16.18
18."And I also say to you that you are Peter (Stone), and upon this rock I will build My Church and the gates of Hades shall not overpower it."
So the church actually not cement and bricks, and not a place for preaching false doctrines, and not a place for social gatherings for parties and entertainment, because all of it was invented by people.
But in reality, originally, were being prophets and certain people of GOD who teach people the Word of GOD and who have disciples and followers who did the same. The first synagogues were being pure educational facilities in order to organize people locally in large groups to teach them the Law.
On examples of the synagogues, during period of Christianity, early Christians at first used converted to Christ synagogues to preach Gospel of Christ and later built their own facilities.
But at first most Christians used their own homes to gather and to learn about Christ, and such examples we can see with Apostles of Christ and some Gentiles recorded in the Bible.
But when Christianity spread widely, it became extremely corrupted and introduced their own principals, ideals, doctrines, and traditions that are not according to Christ teachings.
So, what the real church is, or should be? How Christ can built His church on the Rock (Peter)? Matthew 16.18.
Jesus Christ certainly knew ahead of time what will become of the so called "church," and this is why He choose Peter to built His real Spiritual church on Him.
Peter had personality and character that Jesus Christ liked more than any other of His disciples, and this is why He chose him as His Church. All people in the word who have such character and personality as Peter and who like little children believe every Word of Christ and follow His Statutes mad Commandments, all belongs to the Church of Peter that Jesus Christ built upon him.
This means that the real Church of Christ is the world Church of the people who are scattered all over the world, who just like Peter believe and follow their GOD and their Savior Jesus Christ, and listen only Word of their Master and their COD.
Such people do not belong to any denominations, they do not participate in church corrupt dealings, and do not follow evangelists and theologists, they follow only Jesus Christ and His teachings, and that is the true and real Church of Christ built on Peter, the name which rightfully and truly applies to such Church, not in the name only like other churches, but in truth.
