Is Acts 17:30 only the elect or the entire human race?

If we were not in bondage to the law of sin and death, we would not owe a debt. It is from that debt for which we are in bondage to the law of sin and death that we must be set free by the sacrifice of Christ.

Why would you say that? We are not in bondage now, yet we still sin. Even if we had never been in bondage, just like Adam, we would have sinned.

Why does it have to be so complicated?

He is my LORD and God.
What more could I need/want?

Uh, because I believe that it is true?

We are not in bondage now, yet we still sin.
We have been set free from the penalty of that bondage, but the old man is still with us and he only sins continually. It is the New Man who leads us in the paths of righteousness.

Even if we had never been in bondage, just like Adam, we would have sinned.
Uh, you have the cart before the horse. We are in bondage because of our and Adam's sin, not the other way around. :)

Even if our wills were free there would still be a need for grace. It wouldn't matter how free our wills are, we can't eliminate the debt we have.
Christ already did that. "It is finished." "Paid in full."

Horatio Spafford got it exactly right:

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!
