SN, I agree with you, but like humblsmith, I believe we have turned a corner. :tear:

You and I belong to the flyover states, SN. If anyone cares to look at the election map, most of it is colored "red" and that is what the "heart" land of America is, our military (many of whom their votes were not counted or were "late" and we know why), the farmers, the small restaurant owners, the aides lifting patients and changing diapers in nursing homes, the night shift nurse at the hospital when the hallways are quiet, keeping watch and listening for the call buttons, the trauma surgeon trying to save the life of a motorcycle accident victim, the single mom listening for the sound of a child calling in the middle of the night, the pastor answering the phone call in the middle of the night for someone who is dying, the truck drivers trying to make it in line for the next delivery, the baker mixing dough for the fresh morning's bread, well, you get the idea - those of us who faithfully go to work each day, pay our taxes, and go to church, participate in our communities, feed and clothe the unfortunate, chip in when a neighbor or shut-in needs help, and do what we can for the Kingdom.

I know I am extremely blessed beyond measure that all of the DNA through the centuries passed down to me, from countries afar to generations here in America, from the founding up until my parents, then came me, born and bred in America, bathed with the red, white, and blue, raised by Christian parents, whose parents were Christians, and I am a daughter who was Redeemed, fortunate to be born in America, the Land of the Brave and the Free. God Shed His Grace On Thee....as the hymn says.

So, with all of these blessings and the poorest among us is richer than most of the world population, even when calamity befalls us, we are blessed to have been a part of America. The grieving part for me about this last election is that what my forefathers fought and bled and died for, this Land, this Freedom and Liberty, this Constitution, this Great Experiment, has been thrown away with both hands by people who only think of themselves and not the greater good of this Nation.

I love America, but I am in mourning for what she was and what she has become. We have turned a corner, indeed.

But the older I get and the longer I live and the more I observe, Heaven is Looking Mighty Sweet Sooner Rather than Later. :flower:

It still is the greatest nation in the world which is why so many people come here, either legally or illegally. How long that greatness will last, we will find out....

I Said No!

...but, I'd not want to live anywhere else. It can improve, but we need to get rid of the "politics as usual" folks. Some of these politicans actiually serve so long they die in office, insted of retiring with honor.

I am still thinking a WOMAN POTUS would be a fresh way to go with this nation. What does LE think about this?

Lady Eagle...That was very well said and I won't/can't even begin to try to add to or improve upon it. Thank you very much Sister.

Lady, you would love a Maggie Thacher clone ... admit it.

Admittedly she would have to get rid of that English accent.
