Carter STILL says things he shouldn't say. He should stick to building houses.

Very unChristlike and very unAmerican. President Carter has every right to free speech. You don't have to agree with it, but to muzzle those with whom you disagree is repugnant.

We all say things we shouldn't say...maybe we shouldn't even think them.

The one thing I like about Mr. Carter is that he sticks to his principles. His building houses for the less fortunate is one principle he kept; caring for the peoples of the world. He came a long way from the peanut farm.

When he came to the late Prime Minister, Pierre Trudeau's funeral, he sat next to Mr. Fidel Castro. What a testimony, to my way of thinking, given the history of American presidents and Mr. Castro.

    Cheers,

    Jim

What do you think the odds are for Bush winning the Nobel Peace Prize? My guess would be exactlt zero.

Then again, who would have thunk Arafat would have got it? He was such a kind and peace loving terrorist, wasn't he?

The day will come when we have another Democrat president. You may not be singing the same tune if former president Bush circles the globe doing his best to undemine that Demo president.

Just for starters, Bush could write to the leaders of the UN Security Council and urge them to oppose the US president, as Carter did.

He could go to the UK and tell the voters that their Prime Minister is a toady of the American president, as Carter did.

Bush could personally call that Democrat president's Secretary of State and ask her to reverse her positions, as Carter did, and then state, "My hope is that..the other members will outvote the United States."

Would you be defending Bush's right to free speech in that case? You'd likely call him a self-serving meddler who needs to just shut up. And you would be right.

    Somebody made a tremendous funny

" Bush circles the globe" this is the funniest thing today!![IMG]

You have got to be kidding once he is out, he may fly over but he would never land...bush will fortress himself on his little ranch and not go anywhere because he is disliked, uncareing and multi-tasking is hard work ..plus he will not have his handlers to pull the puppet strings...yeah he has the freedom of speech and do all the things any ex-president has the right to do...but he won't because he does not care to do anything. He did his job with the cronyism side and has screwed so many things up in his life and left messes and debt. I am sure bush will get his pay day from selected events closed to the American public but opened to the many palms he has greased.

Nice rant. You sure have him figured out don't you. Carter did his share of messing things up, and he was disliked too, but that didn't stop him.

    Hi Kenny:wavey:

The auburn site is an excellent site for the study of systematic ur. I've had it on my favs for quite a while now, but haven't as yet explored it in depth. I'm sure the beauty of our Lord's finished work on the cross is beautifully lifted up there.

I think of you often and know that you are well in Him. For He has promised it.:love2:

BTW, I think it is possible that President Bush is a universalist. Why? I can't say why in any definitive way. His speeches have a universal ring to my ears. But then.....I may be prejudiced.

Much love and blessings to you and all in name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through His finished work on the cross. \o/
