Is Christianity Accessible to All People?

Thank you for the explanation. My point is that there there was a path to salvation before Christ but still through Christ. I have no reason to believe that path is now closed.

 

I think you are making a distinction without a difference. The path to salvation has always been through Christ, even before His advent and His finished work on the cross.

 

Romans 10:14-17
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,[h]
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”[j] 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

I'm not sure where your belief comes from, but I think scripture is clear that Lord finds His elect, His sheep, and His sheep know His voice.

Or let's look at this a different way: if someone is seeking God, that is the work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration, right?

So God has already done a supernatural act, breathing a spiritually dead person from death to life.

Is it that great of a stretch to assume that He has the rest of the process worked out as well, that is, He has sent someone to preach to His lost sheep?

And as to Christianity versus belief in Christ: the Gospel, the Good News that one must believe is this: I am a sinner, separated from God and under the penalty of sin, both my own and inherited, and I can't pay that debt. Christ Jesus paid the debt, perfectly and completely, taking my place on the bearing the Father's wrath. If you believe these things, as the entire family of God, OT and NT has believed, then you are saved.

Let's not make it more complicated than that.

 

Yes. Whether is is through Jesus, the Messiah, or the promise of Abraham, it is still through the Son.
