Jesus created 'the best wine' at the wedding feast. That wine was not 'well-aged', now was it. He created a new wine, non-alcoholic!
Please!! Do you think that Jesus created something at a wedding - a drink different than the water it started out at and He could only make grape juice???? Why would it matter that the 'best wine' was served last if the 'best wine' at a wedding would make the guests not even know what they were drinking - therefore allowing for a lesser quality wine to be served afterwards?

I guess that means that Adam had to be a baby - as was Eve.

Scripture doesn't say it was "new wine", but the "best" wine, the same wine the Lord of Hosts will serve *gasp* you and I.

Somehow your quote funtion is wrong. I didn't say that, SFIC did.

So that's where Cheerwine came from.

and that new wine that the Lord will serve the saved will be nothing but frest grape juice, just as the best that He created in Cana of Galilee.

sfic and Linda64, the Lord can't say you did not share the truth of His Word. Maybe it is time to stop casting the pearls of wisdom and truth before those who will not receive.

Your right, the truth has been shared. I just wish you, SFIC and his wife would pull off the blinders!

Only problem is Scripture tells us the best wine is well aged, not "fresh grape juice". This just shows the error you hold onto to support your own personal convictions, denying God's Word.

I hope I'm quoting YOU Webdog right now - sorry about that! I'll try to fix it if I can.

OK - now I'm quoting me too! I'm fixing that now. It looks like it's putting in the 'quote=webdog' but then after that putting in 'quote=annsni' and that's why it's wrong.

how so?

And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

The phrase that which is worse comes from this:

G1640 ἐλάσσων, ἐλάττων elassōn elattōn
el-as'-sone, el-at'-tone
Compound of the same as G1646; smaller (in size, quantity, age or quality): - less, under, worse, younger.

The previous wine was of
Less Age and Quality

The previous wine was of
Under Age and Quality

The previous wine was of
Worse Quality and Age

The previous wine was of
Younger Age and Quality

Not only Did Christ turn the water into wine, but he also aged it so that it would be of good quality.

God Bless the Greek Language.

Now Mojoala,

If your going to start quoting greek and be logical you're going to mess up the ignorance of the unlearned.

I agree, mojoala. Let's not confuse this issue with facts. It's much more fun to smear other believers and accuse them of being wordly/ungodly/insert your favorite condemnation here.

25At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

Acts 4:13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

I would rather preach the truth of God's Word with boldness than the lies of the world.

Hate to tell you - you are preaching the lies of the world rather than God's Truth. You are adding to Scripture which is wrong, as you so strongly pointed out in the thread on music in church. Getting drunk is wrong - drinking alcohol is not.

How is HBSMN adding to God's Word? It is not him telling people that Christ made and drank alcoholic beverage. It is not him that is saying that God condones the believer drinking alcohol.

No, I cannot say HBSMN is adding to God's Word at all.
