A gun is just a tool. It can be used safely and responsibly, or dangerously and recklessly. Too bad that lady who was stabbed to death not long ago in her own home in England while her husband was away didn't have one, she just might be alive right now. I sleep better at night knowing that when I am away from home my wife is armed and prepared to defend herself should the unthinkable ever happen.

I sleep better at night knowing that our neighbour, who is a weirdo and has already had a verbally violent bust up with one of our other neighbours, doesn't have a gun

Inequality is a hallmark of the right. The left is egalitarian. That's what primarily made Hitler and Mussolini right wing: their rejection of egalitarianism in favour of survival of the fittest
