Is Grover Norquist an Islamist?

If you said the Baptist church had been infiltrated, that might make more sense and perhaps be a bigger cause of concern than the United States being infiltrated.

The Baptist Church has been infiltrated by tares and liberals, no doubt.
The USA has--I think--about 15,000,000 Muslims. If only 1% of them are sleeper cell terrorists, then we end up with 15,000 terrorists on our soil here in the mainland. I don't know how many live in Hawaii--are there many, EmeraldCity?
Paul Sperry in his new book says that after Nine Eleven standards were relaxed in order to hire translators so that those looking at secret intelligence may be double-agents. Also, the left had refused to put in place a get-tough attitude with Muslims because it violates their nonsensical position that all cultures are equal even those whose sole aim is to destroy and to murder.
I think that we need to look at Islam as a rigid political ideology instead of as a religion.

Hawaii is a low threat area. Apparently with all the visitors, the terrorist figure they would get more non-Americans than Americans. We have 1 mosque and a Muslim Association. This place is too easy to watch and too isolated from the mainland to make the impact the terrorists desire.

Ken, I think you guys are being way too hard on LE on this issue. Questions have been raised about Norquist's allegiance, if not alliances, before, including in National Review. It is a shame when those on the Right, much less politicians, are given a pass for such ties. You're right--Hamtrack, MI ain't southern Arkansas.

Yes and no: from a First Amendment standpoint, they should have religious liberty, but I don't think (sorry, civil libertarians) that should make them immune from having their mosques infiltrated and surveilled by the FBI, COINTELPRO experience notwithstanding. Wahhabi mosques are, by ALL accounts a breeding ground for hatred against America and, if we'll be honest, our enemies. Just as firing missiles from mosques in the Middle East makes them proper targets for returning fire on them, we are deluded for not recognizing and acting on a different threat from mosques in our own country. I'm sorry, but turning out terrorists is not protected by the First Amendment. They can preach what they want, but when terrorists are recruited and organized through them then they become legitimate objects of national security AND law enforcement interest.
And thanks for the book reference. I keep seeing it on Conservative Book Club lists and at the bookstore. I'm probably going to buy it soon. BTW, do you have any good recommendations on the threat of radical Islam? I keep seeing books by Robert Spencer that sound good. Daniel Pipes Militant Islam Reaches America was good, I thought and there was a good book by Steven Emerson that was very good (can't think of the title but it was one of the first ones).

No, I am so poor that I am not buying books, FTR. I am more interested in standard Protestant doctrine. I do have the SBC video on the Cross and the Crescent, available at LifeWay Stores online in case they do not have one in Huntsville. I have some other older minor books on Islam. I just finished reading Don Quixote and Míguel de Cervantes has a lot to say about Islam in that book as he himself fought the Turks and was a prisoner of Islam until his family bought his release. He was a devout Catholic and had little or no use for Islam.
I think we can all agree with that statement, and apply that to any religious ideology. Religious liberty should be guaranteed for all persons, regardless of that person's faith choice. But engaging in blatant terrorist activities is not covered in Amendment I. The Ku Klux Klan attempted to argue that, and failed.

I consider him and Daniel Pipes to be the top terrorism experts. I know Steven Emerson testified before Congress - long before 09/11. He even told them of plans to fly planes into the WTC. Too bad they didn't listen.

Also, one of my running pet peeves has been the jihad web sites and forums hosted by US companies and running from North American servers - where they recruit and send coded messages, etc. Many of them (the ones in English) appear to be civil rights groups, but the underlying theme is support for the mujahdeen, OBL, and Palestinian terrorists, supporting organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas and other terrorist groups listed on our US State Department List.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of terror support sites are running from both the US and UK. A few have been turned in to authorities and shut down, but the majority still remain up and running.
I read an article yesterday where the UK is pulling the plug. I wish the US would do the same.

he gives thumbs up or thumbs down on access

Norquist had a deal with Susan Ralston, who until recently was the assistant to Karl Rove. An unnamed Republican lobbyist recently told Salon.com: "Susan took a message for Rove, and then called Grover to ask if she should put the caller through to Rove. If Grover didn't approve, your call didn't go through."
Too much power for one person to have.imho
and I think that is how Muslims got access as
well the rove/norquist connection. imho
