Sorry, friend, I wish I could help you. I found the site just by surfing my own self some time ago.LeBuick said:John, do you know who runs the site? I can't get the links to When Skeletons Come Out of Their Closets or Paul Rejoices Over Preaching by Enemies to work.
Um, who are you conversing with Bob?BobRyan said:Now just suppose you were to be willing to accept every detail given by Christ -- why would you fear that in the case of Matt 18??
I just couldn't figure out whether or not you were objecting to what I said about parables not being a source of doctrine. That is a standard teaching in any Bible college or seminary hermeneutics class, and I think a correct one. The parables of Christ were the illustrations of His sermons, extended metaphors, and it is not good to get doctrine from metaphors.BobRyan said:I am open to all respondents. All ideas welcome.
Maybe Joel Osteen did that same search :laugh:I just did a search on the word Hell in the KJV and the NIV, and neither has Paul mentioning it one time... why would Paul not mention Hell?

And the only time in the Greek that he mentions the Greek word for Hell is in
1 Corinthians 15:55
O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?
Does anyone else find this strange?

thats interesting, it goes along with the biblical truth that Hell doesnt last forever. UNTIL HE SHOULD REPAY all that was owed him.

Hey, now you can tell people you have conversed with one of the few people in the world spanked by John R. Rice. I was about 8, the adults were around the table in the dining room, I was fiddling with the off-limits TV. Spanking works-- I never again disobeyed him! :saint:Apreacher4Him said:Amen! and Praise the Lord in deed!
Many a preacher would to have loved to have that ministry opportunity
to say nothing of the Love of Christ in a grandfather as faithful to the Lord as He.
I am glad that our cyberspace paths have crossed!
