Is it Immoral to Reject Jesus?

Thus the charges of hypocrisy.
<shakes head sadly> It's only hypocrisy if you don't acknowledge it. I fully admit that I vote for a politician, not a pope; and therefore, as JonC explained, I look at positions, not the person; because, as you're fond of saying, we and they (the politicians) are all guilty and fall short.
Anyone who votes for a politician thinking they're voting for a Christian is bound to be disappointed. Anyone who votes against a politician because that politician isn't a Christian, is also bound to be disappointed.
Remember: the only one we can count on is the unchanging savior. Elections are for men, not saviors.
the person may be a Christian, but being a liberal mind set, and in that vase, why would we bote for one holding to a liberal Agenda, against one holding to a far more biblical one?

far better a pro life/anti alyernative lifestyle catholic then a liberal person just professing Christ!
So are you voting for a Catholic, or are you voting for someone who's platform matches your beliefs? Are you voting against a liberal professing Christ, or against someone who's platform doesn't match your beliefs?

If the other holding to a "far more Biblical" platform is not a follower of Jesus Christ, I'm not voting for either.
There are lots of atheists out there too with views that line up with what the Bible says in a lot of instances. But I'm not endorsing them either to be in authority over me with a platform to directly or indirectly spread untruth
Then it shouldn't matter that one advocates a pro-homosexual or abortion agenda.
The problem here is that a lot of folks in the church , again, hypocritically decided that morality matters when it comes to abortion and homosexuality. But it doesn't matter so much to them when it comes to rejecting Jesus Christ.
And THIS is a shame. What business does the Christian have with yoking himself with someone who doesn't follow Christ when you're talking about issues of morality?
If a person rejects Christ, why would a Christian be comfortable trusting that person morally when absent Christ, he is completely immoral?
One can be moral and not be a believer.

I do note vote out of trust. I investigate voting histories, and leadership experience. Voting for them does not mean I trust them, in fact, sending them to Washington automatically requires a closer eye on them. I don't know a smart person who disagrees with me.
I question the intellect of someone that trusts an elected official simply because they claim Christ.

Obama rejects Christ. Romney acts more like a Christian the Obama could on his best day.
I think this is where we are not communicating (I am not understanding your objections and you do not appear to be following my argument). It does matter that a party/political candidate advocates ungodliness in policy (e.g., homosexual or abortion agenda) but the belief system behind that advocacy does not matter from a position of secular leadership. There is a difference between a politician advocating anti-Christian policies and a politician not personally holding Christian faith, and this is a difference that you do not seem to recognize.
There are, for example, atheists who support religious expression and professing Christians who seek to limit Christianity in the public sphere under the guise of tolerance. There are atheists who oppose abortion and professing Christians who view the practice as a human right. There are political/secular platforms that are less immoral than others.
I will admit that much of this is conscience. I will not, for example, vote for a party because of their stance on abortion. This is a deal breaker for me (regardless of their stance on other issues). The reason is that I believe I am responsible for the voice I give when I vote (I am culpable if I support such policies via my vote).
What I glean from your thread is that when we support the lesser of two evils we are still supporting evil, and that this is not something that the church is coming to grips with in the political arena. Based on their current platform, I could never in good conscious vote Democrat. Perhaps there will be a time when my only choice is to abstain from casting a vote (which is not necessarily a muted voice). But I think that you are confusing personal beliefs with political agendas, policies, and platforms.
Rightousness exalts a nation, correct?
people who are not even saved can practice the principles of the Bible at times better than Christians, correct?
As in financial restraints and morals?
We do NOT elect the Theologian of the USA as president, but we do elect a leader who would best fit the leadership qualities in the Bible!
Sound financially, strong militarily, strong morals, and promotoing the public good!
Problem is, first you have to find a candidate that matches that description (or play with the word "best").
