Romans 1 shows the man does know God, and his sinful nature supresses this truth. They stand condemned. Romans 3 concludes there are none righteous; no not one.

So it does take divine intervention through Jesus Christ for salvation. Without Jesus Christ (who is the ONLY way, truth and life) there is no salvation.

So John Doe in Siberia can "know" God, but will still go to an eternal hell because he does not have faith in the Messiah. Sad, but true.

To believe that man, without a knowledge of Jesus, can be "saved" is contra-indicated in Scripture a hundred times over.

BTW, this particular thread is one of the least hospitable things I've seen on the BB of late. Think some of you all must have been sipping on pickle juice over the holidays . . .

</font>[/QUOTE]In the sense that all sin is sin, I agree. However, we can argue that certain sins are more heinous than others...at least within this temporal plane.

But my point here is that God has ordained sin (the murder of Christ was predestined by God). It is a difficult truth to accept but a truth nonetheless.
