Is It Time To Call Out The Military?

So? This does not change the fact that the Republican platform would not have the Federal government send in federal troops to take control of a state situation against the will of the state government.

Think of what you are saying and what the future could hold should the nation go down that path.

LBJ did it in 1968

Your solution is just to let it all burn down then?
No. My solution is the solution is up to the states. If the federal government rescued every state governed by idiots then the idiots stay in charge. Let the people suffer under the leadership they chose and you may see a change in leadership. Stop looking for the Federal government to solve problems states create.

I agree with your premise, but can we afford to wait until Nov, if the nation is right now burning to the ground?

The nation is not burning to the ground. I live in the 2nd largest city in Georgia (I live across the river in SC). It is 60% black, 30% white. Do you know how many buildings we have damaged? Zero. Do you know how many riots we have had? Zero. Do you know how many peaceful protests we have had? I don't either (I lost count and they are still going on). But that is a protected right so I do not mind protests.

I am from the South (I'm from SC, grew up in GA and TN). Rioters could burn Minneapolis and if Minnesota says "we do not want help" then I say they have that right. If they ask for help that is another story.

the role of the federal Govt is to protect the USA from enemies foreign and domestic, to keep the peace, what would be wrong with doing just that now, since the Dem stated governors refuse to as for National guard?
Making up "facts" again I see.
National Guard Called up in 11 States to Handle Protests

WASHINGTON - The governors of Minnesota (D) and 11 other states have called up National Guard troops as they faced another night of violent protests sparked by the death of an African American man while in police custody.

Governors in at least 11 other states — Georgia (R), Kentucky (D), Ohio (R), Wisconsin (D), Colorado (D), Utah (R) , Washington (D), California (D), Tennessee (R), Missouri (R) and Texas (R) — also activated National Guard troops to help quell protests that in many areas have turned violent. (6 D and 5 R)

I added the party information from: List of United States governors - Wikipedia

As you can see, the same number of Democrat Gov. called up their National Guard than Republican Gov. (6 D and 6 R)
