It looks like we are getting closer and closer to mob rule and that will result in martial law and federalization of our municipal police force. But how long will that last before the disenfranchised rise up and want more freedom from law enforcement in order to run rampant like lawless anarchist through our streets and neighborhoods?

We are moving closer to craziness in this country, and hopefully the rapture of the church. Still, it my opinion, that the church will not be spared from some of the bifth pangs Jesus spoke of, and if that is the case, many in the church of feel good theology will fall away. After all, Revelation does warn us of this day?!

The Democrats hate the police but they need them to protect themselves because most of the 1 % are Democrats--even Hillary herself is part of the 1 %.

Well, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D - SD) did once say "You can't professionalize unless you federalize."

It is easier to militarize, then federalize, the police than to deal with, or try to repeal, the Posse Comitatus Act. It's the reason the federal government has aided local police forces with militarized training and all but given them military weapons and vehicles. It is so much more convenient with it being promoted that LEO is excellent work for young guys getting out of the military.

This is why the idea that cops are killing folks because of race is not accurate. They are killing all sorts of folks. Other races simply do not have control of the media nor the infrastructure to riot and protest. Cops have been trained that everyone is the enemy and they are in a war zone. What do you do in war? Kill them before they kill you!

Ladies and gentlemen, if you wanted a definition of the "begging the question" fallacy, here's your winner!

I doubt this will ever happen.

Makes no sense, nobody is seriously contending for it, and it would create a management burden the federal govt can't shoulder.

I still don't get it. What would federalizing them do other than taking them off the cities' payroll and placing them on the fed payroll?

Don't we already have federal police in the way of the FBI and US Marshalls?

The French Gendarmerie and the Italian Carabinieri are examples of what Sharpton, and now RD2, are referencing. They fulfill both military and civilian police functions; i.e., militarized police.

The Carabinieri, who I have personal experience with, are sharply divided. The military side looks down upon the civilian law enforcement side, and the civilian side feels the same way about the military side. But they both work for the Italian government, and are assigned in in specific locations, rather than work for local city/state governments.

Sharpton seems to think that federalizing the police forces will led to a standardization of training among police nation-wide. But doing so requires a training standardization/evaluation effort; will require city governments transferring their budgets for police forces to the federal level; require additional federal taxes to support such an effort; etc., etc.

To think that any impending situations would be capable of implementing martial law across the entire 50 United States, is an extremely child-like way of thinking about the situation.

Ridiculous.

You don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Give the kid a break. He just got his shiny sheepskin diploma, and is ready to change the world. Good luck to him, and Godspeed. Will miss his comments. :wavey:

I think the LYNCH mob will continue to harass our own good cops like an old fashion LYNCHING......Loretta style. When a racist mob that Obama asimbled like the dirty dozen with a chip on their shoulder thinking the "honkey must pay for the past" are running the circus innocent hard working cops will suffer unjustly by the Feds.

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded." Barack Obama

What are the national security objectives? And who's "we"?

My guess is divide and conquer. And the "international community".
