As a former state of Nebraska and California employee, a new governor meant possible loss of a good civil servant job. I was once discharged for the staff of a large church, because the new pastor wanted "his"people on staff.
I am surprised that Mr. Trump has not yet used his trademark phrase, "you're fired" yet, especially after all the leaks to left leaning news sources.
Do you think the President should "clean house" removing any and all Obama holdovers who maybe covert "never Trump" believers?
Simply put, IS IT TIME?
YES!
And not just for Obama loyalist who want to cause trouble but the entire government work sector needs a house cleaning.
In my career as a software architect/engineer I have had several government contracts.
Sad to say that many of the government people (both state and federal) have a bad attitude and are simply "putting in my time" and they make no bones about it and use it to do little or no work - just "fake work", "busy work".
e.g.
At one assignment I contracted for - the facility workers all had job descriptions down to the proverbial dotting of the "i's" and crossing of "t's" much of it totally unnecessary (IMO).
In this particular situation, any assignment which did not have an exact match to the job description could be and was refused and many adamantly adhered to that privilege.
One individual was compelled to assist and demanded that (his/her) job description be changed after which the individual took several months to comply to project ownership. The portion of ownership of that individual should have only taken a few days!
I had mixed feelings as it extended my contract for those several months - I was there for 2 and 1/2 years on a six month work order because of that individual and other personnel slowdowns.
We were a team of 40-50 highly paid civilian IT contractors!
Government worker "tenure" is often worst than college professor tenure.
There are many other situations of waste, contests of wills, incompetence, etc...
But please be assured there are many (perhaps even most in the entire scope of government workers) who are dedicated to their work and are dependable, loyal citizens who often work above and beyond the call.
So, yes, if the bad apples who cause these enormous overruns can some how be eliminated, it would save bushels of money and resource.
