Yes. Because Jesus is both Lord and Christ from His birth, Luke 2:11. And Christ paid for sins to be Lord of all, Romans 14:9. He is Lord of all regardless of whether anyone believes Him to be one's Lord, Philippians 2:10. The requirement for salvation is accepting Jesus to be the Christ, 2 John 1:9. And professing Jesus as Lord is no guarantee of salvation, Matthew 7:21-23.

He is Lord of all, and the Saviour of His people.
Whether or not someone is the recipient of God's grace, Jesus is Lord.

Every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that.

Interesting concept, we accept Christ, rather than God chooses us.

Now I think God chooses individuals if He credits their faith as righteous faith.

And we certainly know some of the aspects of credited faith. For example Abraham did not just intellectually agree with God that if He did this, God would do that. No, he relied upon those promises and lived based on the reality of those promises.

We must believe God exists and rewards those who seek Him.

We must believe God raised Jesus from the dead.

And we know that God chooses those who love God.

So based on the information supplied in scripture, it is impossible for one to be accepted by God if our love lacks devotion to His commands and guidance as Abraham did, for we are to have faith like Abraham.

I don't think it is so much rejecting Him as Lord - but the individual not realising that He is to be Lord as well.

I've always believed Christ is Lord and Savior. This is an obvious truth of believing in the trinity. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one God.

I do agree - but the brand new Christian may not fully understand it.
That is at the point where some will "dedicated" their life to the Lord.

Thank you for the reply;
Maybe the Pastor should make sure they know. When people are focused on one thing they may over look many things they shouldn't.

Hmm - just thinking
How many liberals said "Trump is NOT my President"
how many conservatives "Biden is NOT my President"

Just saying "He is NOT..." does not change the fact

But in this case Christians are saying these defiantly
unlike a new Christian is may be unaware.....
