Good goin Doc. By the way I am in no way belittling Term life. The philosophy on whole/universal/variable policies changes over time that is all that I am saying. There are so many different financial products out anymore it is hard to keep track let alone be expert.

When I got a universal life policy without any cash value it was slightly higher than term insurance. But about ten years later they would be the same. I planned living longer than 20 years past that date. Now my insurance is way less than term insurance.

Everything is a risk though isn't it?

I cannot get universal life/whole life as I am diabetic. I was turned down by two companies because of this and my being disabled. Now, with the hospitalization I had in October for severe blood loss (had lost over 2/3 of my blood volume and had to have 6 units of blood) I'm considered "totally uninsurable", meaning I couldn't even get term if I had waited. Thank God I got it two years ago!

Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children,

"One of the clearest evidence of the faith of our people in the free institutions and the future of America is the fact that many millions of our citizens own life insurance policies." ---Dwight D Eisenhower
