Then you must see only what you want to see. The lady was not "mean" in any since of the word.

    peace to you:praying:

Wow you leftists are a hoot.

She absolutely had Wolfe for lunch. She kept trying to get back to her childrens book, but he would always drag her back to a political point where she would cut him to ribbons. It was a beautiful thing, and you leftists can't stand it.

Better than take up for a writer of lesbian material.

You know Madonna and Lyn Cheney have a lot in common. The should collaborate on a childrens book about children with gay parents.

This borders on lying, but I understand it is your right-wing perspective on steroids at work here.

Why Wouldn't Cheney answer Wolf's question about lesbian scenes in the book? After all, she is the parent of a lesbian, isn't she?

I guess the thing about throwing stones applies. Lynn was no doubt outraged to have someone put the same yardstick to her life, as she put on others.

Yeah, I think so. It's just got to be particularly embarassing for her, having it publicly displayed.

It seems I remember her saying "I have never written anything of a sexually explicit nature" in response to his questions.

That is a direct answer to his attempt to compare her book to that written by the dem candidate. If Blitzer did have anything she had written of an "explicit sexual nature" he would have quoted it immediately.

The fact he didn't demonstrates his own partisan attempt to equate her book with the pornography written by the democratic candidate.

And yes, she cleaned his clock at every turn.

    peace to you:praying:

You can find the more lurid passages on the net (apparently, copies of the book are now going for $200 on Ebay, and Cheney has rejected the idea of a second printing.

I would post some of them, but I like being here, and I probably wouldn't be, if I posted some of the more um, "unusual" parts. I'm not even going to link that that kind of thing.

If you go looking, you can even find the whole thing in pdf. Don't recommend it. There's a reason it didn't sell well the first time.

This reminds me of when Dan Rather planned to ambush Bush I in a televised interview in 1988 and instead got his head handed to him.

Lynn Cheney is one tough, smart lady. Blitzer was overmatched.:applause:

I think in private Lynne Cheney is furious at the George Allen campaign her Novel is just what it is ...a Novel ....same as Jim Webbs.

The George Allen campaign did not think things through and realize they were stirring up a can of worms and Lynne Cheneys book although imho
poorly written is part of the bush culture of denial and hypocrisy and she showed herself as being caught in the headlights with Wolf Blitzer.

She agreed before the interview that politics would be asked and dealt with and the story of the day was George Allens attack on Jim Webbs Novel ..yeah that's what I said ...Novel. She then tried to intimidate Wolf Blitzer and basically tell him to shut up and sing her tune...to his credit he was civil and held his ground.

bottom line Wolf Blitzer did his job...Lynne Cheney could have canceled but she did not...in no way was she hijacked at all...I think her true colors showed.

Do you suppose it was because the reason she was there was to plug her new childerens book, and Blitzer wouldn't let go of politics. Blitzer was dealing in total dishonesty in this interview and she ate his lunch.

Believe what you want, I see it differently.

See agreed to the interview; she could have canceled, but she didn't. Cheney came off looking like someone afraid to answer questions. Wolf came off looking like a gentleman for not pushing her harder for answers.

When sitting down with a reporter, she should have expected political questions. That's just how it works...the guest doesn't run the agenda. She did get a chance to pitch her book, but other items will be discussed. I guess she needs the money...her Halliburton stock isn't quite enough to get by on.
