Actually - not so much (Matt. 16:18-19, Matt. 18:15-18, Luke 10:16, John 16:12-15, John 20:21-23, 1 Tim. 3:15, Eph. 1:22-23).
Saved by Grace of God, as God can not use anything that we could contribute, as all of that filthy rags!

WRONG.
You simply don't understand the word of God.

Our works BEFORE coming to Christ are as "filthy rags" (Isa. 64:6).
Our works AFTER coming to Christ were prepared for us by GOD in advance - so we can't take credit for them.

NOTHING that comes from God is a "filthy rag" . . .

MarysSon, it should be obvious that Yeshau 1's post was addressing the sinners works prior to salvation as a result of being the elect of God. Therefore, he is not wrong.

No - he is referring to everything we do - before AND after coming to Christ.
This is the SAME blunder that I hear from Protestants all the time

We can bring nothing to God to merit salvation before saved, and anything done after saved still does not merit us anything!

Its all received thru faith alone!
Then show me the Scriptural verse that states this.
Your Protestant Father, Martin Luther had to ADD the word "alone" to Rom. 3:28 in his German Translation.

In fact - the ONLY place in ALL of Scripture where the words "Faith alone" appear together is in James 2:24, where it explicitly states:
James 2:24
You see that a person is justified by works and NOT BY FAITH ALONE.

Do your homework . . .

James is talking about being justified before men, Paul talking about before God!

WRONG.
James is talking about our justification before God.

That's why he states that even the DEMONS believe (James 2:19) - but they don't have faith (belief + Works).
STUDY your Bible - don't just read it . . .

We receive His grace thru faith period!
Yes, but then if we remain just "talking" about Jesus and dont do the close walk with Jesus, obeying His commandments, then what? Christ makes clear that at the end, that those who claim they have Christ and yet "heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not," will be surprised.

Matthew 7:22-27
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We can bring nothing to God to merit salvation before saved, and anything done after saved still does not merit us anything!
We agree on that, we are led by the Holy Spirit in our choice, so God works at each stage.
