I was thrust into sin many years ago. I had surgery on my right leg. When I was out, they shaved the hair from my foot up to where my leg meets the rest of me.

Friends and family came to see me in the hospital, only to see my sin shaven leg. I was so ashamed. Sin has consequences. The hair on my right leg has never grown back to it's fullness. I will carry that evidence of sin with me the rest of my life. Even though Jesus has forgiven me and cast my sin into the sea of forgetfulness, Man will ever see my sin. [IMG]

Socks have caused my husband to sin! Yes... can you say yes? His tight socks have 'shaved' the hair off the back of his calves. He 'claims' he has no control over this but ah.... does he really?

If the barn needs painting, paint it.

Murph: I am sorry if this thread offended you. It was just meant to be a light-hearted break from all the serious bashing some of us ladies have taken lately over the "dress code" and what IS and what is NOT sin.

Please feel free to delete or lock this thread if you feel it is harmful. I do, however, feel that God has a sense of humor. After all, he created human beings.

    Again, I apologize,
    Sue

Sue, it seems it is those of us are always being bashed who are appologizing the most. And the others never appologize. Shows me where their hearts really are.

Murph, I agree with Sue. This is lighthearted fun and we, as Christians, do not have to be dour faced and serious all the time. We've endured weeks of a small number of women demanding that we are unholy and ungodly if we wear pants or jewelry and this is nothing more than a light hearted attempt to laugh at ourselves.

I agree with Sue, Diane. Katie and others. This thread has been fun and gave us a chance to laugh after what we have been through while Murph was gone.

To add, we were told that we shouldn't vote, work outside the home if we wish, etc. etc. etc. We were told we were not Christians if we did any of these things. I was told that my lifetime work was not to the Glory of God. Murph, it has been rough. We are just having fun, now.

Even though all this happened, I love the people on this board, but I may not be around much during the next few weeks: buying a house, selling a house, moving..... [IMG]

One can look at it also as a method of thrusting a dagger into another, it is totally dependant upon one's point of view. I have no problem with fun but I do fear that the timing could be better. I submit your comment above as evidence that this might be viewed as more than lighthearted fun: We've endured weeks of a small number of women demanding that we are unholy and ungodly if we wear pants or jewelry. I am sorry for a problem that has occurred over the past weeks and I do realize that your statement may have merit but I must add that I have not been contacted to assist in any problems by either side and now on the heels of HCl's exit why not call a cease fire for the time being. I feel we will all agree that there are more important issues we might discuss.

Cease Fire. [IMG] I will use my almost-divine powers to close this down. Apologize to Murph and Squire for stepping in, but enough.
