I would say that is a valid criticism.

I'm not so sure this is necessarily true. There are many statements that can line up with scripture without the quoting of scripture. And there are many folks that spew of lines of scripture while preaching the most unbiblical of doctrines.

Which is a denial of hell. He goes on to deny wrath. You cannot deny hell and wrath. If you do it makes the cross moot.

See this is where lines are getting blurred. He knows how to include just the right amount of words to say that I agree with the bible but traditional I disagree. Its like islam claiming they believe in Christ. When in fact they do not. for if you do not beleive in Christ the Son of God, Christ incarnate then you fail to beleive in the biblical Christ. And that will send you to hell for eternity.

Hell and wrath are primary issues for without them the cross is worthless.

How does this fact validate the role of spiritual director? Someone who "helps" you "hear" the HS?

How has the Catholic church changed in doctrine (aside from not selling indulgences)? I understand that Vatican II declared that people in non-Christian religions can get to heaven (without going through faith in Christ).

I am supportive of dialogue with them as well, but I think maybe I am more concerned about a blurring of lines between the RC Church and evangelicals than you are, or so it seems.
