If Christ had been incarnated in the 21st centruy, the "Podcast of John" or "Email to the Romans" might be in the canon.
All are to be used to reach them!
But my point is that street preaching is still a valid option today.
What makes you an expert on whether or not I hold to an arminian theology?

According to your theology it doesn't matter. If they are elect, they will be saved, so just use whatever method you want and God will draw them to him with irresistible grace!

Now what is the Biblical method of spreading the Gospel - Lets use the verse you like - Mark 16:15 - "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel"
That verse does NOT say you must engage in Street preaching - you can preach in a nursing home, a youth meeting, at a business during lunch, and ect, ect and ect.
I have never said Street preaching is wrong - remember my question was "Is it STILL effective.
My opinion is that it is not effective as it was in years past.
and by the way, many people have been saved by listening to Christian Radio. Since I have been involved in Christian radio for decades - it is one of my favorite ways of evangelism - BUT it is NOT the only way. Many methods are effective.

But even if you use an unbiblical method, the elect would still be saved at some point, regardless. (Per your view)

Is street preaching effective today? It can be, if the right message is being preached by the right preacher.
But when a "street preacher" goes 8 years without a convert I would have to take a serious look at the preacher or his preaching, or both.
Look at it this way. A man plants a new church. The first service was him, his wife, and there 5 year old son. After 8 years he has not brought in one single new member. Just him, his wife, and their 13 year old son.
If I were counseling that young "church planter" I would focus on 2 Peter 1:10 "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall."
It may be time to reexamine that calling, because if a man is truly called of God to a ministry, he will have some measure of success in that ministry. And if he has no success, he probably isn't called.
I had a friend many years ago who was involved in missionary aviation as a pilot. He flew missionaries and mission supplies to remote parts of central and south America. He had a great ministry. He was a wonderful blessing to dozens and dozens of missionaries. Even saving one boy's life, the 14 year old son of a missionary, whose appendix burst when they were hundreds of miles from medical attention. He flew in, got the boy and his dad, and flew him to a good, modern hospital in a city almost 300 miles away where surgery saved the boys life.
One day he decided he wanted to be a pastor. He sold his airplane and took the pastorate of a church running about 300 on Sunday morning. One year later there were 12 people in attendance.
He just refused to admit his error. He refused the fault was his and his alone. He blamed the people. He blamed the location. He blamed his wife! He even, secretly (I later learned) blamed God. Today his drives a truck.
Make your calling and election sure. If there are no results, it is a pretty good indication God's hand is not on that ministry and most often the reason is He has not called the person to do that ministry.
God's work never fails. Man's work often does.

Walking is still a valid option but I would rather drive most places.
Wrong. To my recollection I have had one convert but I do not know how many seeds I have planted and that is my mission to be faithful. I am not going to think like a pragmatist and confuse evangelism with the results of evangelism as so many make that error these days.

Did you watch the video that JonC posted? He posted it for your behalf.
1) Is that convert serving in a local church.
2) with thousands of tracts passed out - has anyone stopped by and told you that they appreciated the fact.
3) 8 years x 12 months = 96 times - (just saying)
4) What is the purpose of evangelism - if we are not concerned about the results (other than being a hyper-Calvinist)
5) why are you so defensive about your methods?
The premise of your argument is false, that being that looking for converts to disciple (also part of the great commission) is being pragmatic. What it is actually being is biblical and faithful to the word of God. It is cheap and easy to stand out in public and preach at people but when you have to actually invest in people's lives that is where the rubber meets the road.
