Is the LXX superior to the MT?

In the States, it pretty much a secular holiday. Commercial interests florists, candy makers, and the greeting card folks promote it heavily, It comes in a second behind Mothers Day.

I am not suprised. I am on an IFB forum and some there celebrate SAINT Valentines day, but thay drop the SAINT. They just call it Valentines day.

Bible believing churcheds here don't celebrate RC saint's days.

I am sorry to hear that. As you probably know the pagans had a god for all occasions. The Roman Catholics have a saint for the same occasions. Some they even used the same saint name for the pagan god.

I know of no bible believing church in this country that will celebrate any saint's day.

Well, I send my wife a Valentine's Day gift, not a Saint Valentine's Day gift, so I reckon I'm safe.

My wife says she has never had a valentine's day card or gift and she is quite happy with that.

Most here drop the Saint also. We don't celebrate the day as a saints day. For me, it's a convenient reason to buy my wife a card telling her how much I love her and a flat of strawberries hand dipped in chocolate. What's that saying about two countries sharing a common language but separated by an ocean.
