Majority of any revisions would be due to the financial involnement of the publisher! It would be interesting to know what percent of new Biblical updates/revisions are due to scholarship, and what percent are due to the publishing business.

My 1977 Nas is based upon 23rd NA, so that would be big difference from that and 26th 1995 based upon!Aye, but there was more of a change from Nestle 25th edition to Nestle/Aland 26th.

NASB 1977 published by AMG, available from ChristianBook.
Yes, by the Lockman Foundation, and is text used in Thompson Chain Nas!Do you happen to know whether the 77 NASB is currently being published?
Which would be more accurate to the original Greek text then?Luke 14:10 But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher’; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you. [NASB]
Luke 14:10 But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests.[NIV]
2 Corinthians 6:11 Our mouth has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our heart is opened wide.
12 You are not restrained by us, but you are restrained in your own affections.
13 Now in a like exchange—I speak as to children—open wide to us also. [NASB]
2 Corinthians 6:11 We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you.
12 We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us.
13 As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also. [NIV]
James 1:21 Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. [NASB]
James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. [NIV]
Thanks ITL, your illustrations seem to demonstrate you can improve readability if you redefine words and remove words.
In Luke 14:10, Go was removed and recline at the last place was replaced with take the lowest place. Then the one who has invited you is replaced with your host, and the idea of a personal invite is deleted. But boy we have made it less wooden.
Wooden? I do not think so. I think it a matter of preference. Is the New American Standard Bible as "wooden" as some claim that it is?
(Personally, I don't find that to be the case!)
A lot depends on which translation one was raised up on, for if the Kjv, no problems reading Nas, but if the Living Bible....Wooden? I do not think so. I think it a matter of preference.

For $24 it is hard to find a Bible of better value... Binding, and paper. Unless things have changed AMG puts out good Bibles for the price. How so?
Yes. It's true. The meaning isn't changed one whit, but it is easier to understand and easier to read.

You're nit-picking.
