Is the NKJV translated from the Textus Receptus?

    Doesn't Ricker-Berry's KJV-Greek interlinear NT use Scrivener's TR?

    The Elsevier (what you furriners call Elzivir) version of the erasmus NT is what originally got the name Textus Receptus. So that's the real one.
    There is no most accurate one. Scrivener's version is simply an attempt to reconstruct the textual choiches of the KJB translators.

    I searched through quite a few pages of my GRB and finally found a Stephanus/Elziver difference in John 17:33:

    Stephanus ...in the world you (pl) have tribulation...
    Elzivir ...in the world you (pl) will have tribulation...

    Present vs future tense.

    This is typical of most of the differences among the texts known as "Traditional".

    Thanks Bruce and Ransom for the added "ammunition". My NKJV does not contain either section called "The History of the King James bible" or "The Story of the New King James Bible".
