From the Article:
“The Alliance emerged out of a denomination whose history is deeply entangled with Christian support for slavery,” Martí noted. “By taking a mirror to themselves, they’re saying not only that racial injustice is a problem but also that they’re willing to take a hard look at how aspects of racial oppression and racial marginalization may remain amidst their churches, even though they are among the boldest Christian advocates speaking out against racism today.”

The author is referring to the SBC.

Having Pullen Memorial Baptist church (Raleigh NC) on the list tells me all I need to know (woman pastor, "Gay Men's Choir", disfellowshipped from the SBC, etc.).

Not sure what you are trying to say - that church is no longer SBC.

I don't think any accusation made by Christ's enemies is anything that needs to be repeated or considered.

Al Mohler said same things about SBC in in this report:

https://sbts-wordpress-uploads.s3.a...acism-and-the-Legacy-of-Slavery-Report-v4.pdf

"at no moment has the history of this school been separated, by even the slightest degree, from the history of the denomination. What is true of the Convention was and is true of [SBTS]....The denomination that established it spoke distinctly in support of the morality of slaveholding and the justness of the Confederate effort to preserve it....donors and trustees advanced the interests of slavery from positions of leadership in society and in the church.

If I remember correctly, the SBC issued an apology serval years ago for supporting slavery in its founding and early years, asking for forgiveness.

When will this end? Is the goal the destruction of the Convention, total and complete destruction of every church, for the past sin of supporting slavery?

Peace to you

IMHO, this is exactly the goal of the left; or more precisely, the destruction of Christianity.

Mohler can be pressured to apologize to the culture like anyone else.

Exactly what I was going to say. This only ends when the SBC is disbanded, because racism is the unforgiveable sin.

When will BLM and the the alternate lifestyle groups be forced to apologize for their sinful actions?

Before long anything, any place or anyone with “southern” in their name will be forced to change their name and capitulate to ridiculous policies of the progressive politics.

The “religious” left’s agenda is simply arrogant and annoying.
