Trump touts quote calling him 'second coming of God' to Jews in Israel

So he now he thinks he's the second coming of Christ?

Or, was Trump being Trump, and horsing around again, and making one of his "funny" statements?

That is the question here. What do you say regarding this latest verbal snafu by the Prez?

As for me: I will start this off by saying, because I was watching the interview "Live" and I noticed his body language and the way he looked back over his shoulders immediately after saying "He is the one" and I can't see anyone with brains, thinking Trump was saying that in any way but with his tongue in cheek, laughing to himself, because he knew the press would blow this statement totally up and attack him one more time.

It's obvious that he was being sarcastic. Trump says a lot of things like that to get under the skin of the liberal media. Like back when he said would consider becoming president for life after President Xi of China was made president for life. It was a joke, but Trump is not allowed to make a joke and the media takes everything he says as "policy" and they were setting their hair on fire over that statement.

Trump likes to troll the media and his enemies among the Democrats and they take the bait every time.

:Roflmao

Perhaps he thinks he is doing for Israel what God hasn't done - if he is joking it's blasphemous joking & not at all funny for the Palestinian victims whose Jerusalem homes are being demolished or taken over.

And if he thinks he's king of Israel perhaps he should pray for wisdom ....

No!

That's ridiculous. He was just trolling the liberal media like he always does. He says outrageous stuff like that because he knows the media will be outraged and spend the next 48-72 hours freaking out about it.

He has no Messiah complex or anything else. He doesn't think he is doing for Israel what God hasn't done. He has repeatedly stated he is doing what other presidents didn't do and should have done for Israel.

Personally I'm laughing at those who took this as if they actually thought he was serious about being the "messiah" as was claimed for the previous president.

So you judge Trump as a blasphemer?

"Judge not that you be not judged"

Surely you don't think it is appropriate for the POTUS to "troll the media" nor to "say outrageous stuff" to outrage the media.

Totally irresponsible. How are his hearers supposed to know he is saying what he means? Or stating domestic or foreign policy? He is certainly not well respected over here.

When so-called journalists allow people to say things like Allen Frances said recently, I can hardly blame Trump for going after these people. Trolling is the least he can do. When you watch what this guy says--uncontested by CNN--I think Trump actually acts with restraint.

"Lumping the mentally ill together with Trump is an insult to the mentally ill".

"Trump is as destructive a person in this century as Hitler, Stalin and Mao were in the last century. He may be responsible for many more million deaths than they were."

Skip ahead to the 0:35 mark...

He does it a lot because the media hates him no matter what he says. I don't see you caring one whit that the media slanders and prints libels against him. I don't see people like you concerned at all that people in the media and political office have called for the president's death. I don't see you concerned that the media defends violent, fascist groups like Antifa. When you visit your moral perfectionism on those matters, then we can talk about what it is inappropriate for the president to say.

Totally irresponsible. How are his hearers supposed to know he is saying what he means? Or stating domestic or foreign policy? He is certainly not well respected over here.
We can tell when someone is being sarcastic, trolling or even satirical. The problem is that the president is held to a standard that no other president has ever been held to. He is not allowed to say anything in public that does not rise to the level of official policy. No other president was ever held to that standard. But Trump is. He cannot be sarcastic, cannot speak in jest or even poke fun at anyone that is not taken with the utmost seriousness. It is completely unreasonable.

Trump is not well liked, but he is well respected. For years, America was like the girl at the party that all the guys liked because she never said, "No." But when she finds her dignity and won't taken advantage of anymore, suddenly, the guys don't like her. Trump decided that we are not going to pay Britain's and Europe's bills anymore. We are not going just give the Europeans money hand over fist and get nothing for it. Trump expects NATO members to carry their own weight and pay their own bills for their defense. Europe doesn't like it, but they are paying where they were not paying before.

You don't have to like us, but you WILL respect us. Or, when Russia comes knocking at your door, you're on your own. Don't come asking for our help.

 So, if I understood correctly, he's saying Trump's opponents "have issues," which would explain why they seem so rabid. :Wink

Not the "2nd coming".

Instead, he's the first of his kind, ever. There has never been another president like Donald Trump. There never needed to be.

He's the right man at the right time.

Hey Righteous Dude, you are the salt of the earth so take Yahoo News with a grain of salt. I hear Root once or twice a month on Cincinnati radio and he is A-Okay and Trump is very popular in Israel, Praise the Lord!
