The sins of the USA match Sodom as God describes in Ezekiel 16:48-50 -
1. Pride (American exceptionalism spoken of by the 'right-wing', seen by many as arrogant and boastful; it is minus gratitude for God's blessings.)
Webster's 1828 definition: , "pride - Inordinate self-esteem; an unreasonable conceit of one's own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank or elevation in office, which manifests itself in lofty airs, distance, reserve, and often in contempt of others."
“Though thou mount on high as the eagle, and though thy nest be set among the stars, I will bring thee down from thence, saith Jehovah.” (Ob 1:4 ASV)
I cannot help but think of the USA putting men on the moon and our hi-tech ventures. We help invent the United Nations and support it as if it were the 'god' over human/world affairs. Calling slavery a 'national sin' when God does not do so; but,the populace is beginning to declare same-sex marriage valid and spitting in the face of the God of Scripture.
2. Gluttony (America is a fat nation, out of the 10 fattest States, all are southern [Bible belt?] but MI and WV)

3. Prosperous ease or abundance of idleness, KJV (5-day 40-hr work week, high incomes and the most free leisure time of any people in history, but we must move scheduled worships times for Super Bowls or summer recreations.)
4. Did not strengthen hand of the poor (Today we take from the producers by force and give-away to the poor to buy votes in the horror of democracy. In Scripture the guide is, leave for the poor to work for their own living: “And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them for the poor, and for the sojourner: I am Jehovah your God.” (Le 23:22 ASV)
5. We're haughty (dictorial towards other nations, arrogance in pushing democracy on others as we abandon our own God-given Republican form of government guaranteed by the Constitution.) To distinguish from the "pride" the first in this list of sins: 1828 Websters: "haughty - Proud and disdainful; having a high opinion of one's self, with some contempt for others; lofty and arrogant; supercilious[dictatorial]."
6. Committed abomination (this word 'to ebah', abomination; is used 41 times in Ezekiel, that is 37% of the occurrences in all of the OT and in Ezekiel it largely concerns idolatry.)
“for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.” (Mt 6:21 ASV)
“Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;” (Col 3:5 ASV)
Follow the 'money trail' and you'll see the idolatry in the USA. Drives and backyards populated with bass boats, RVs, motorcycles, ATVs, Sea-doos, etc. Inside the house are books/magazines on sports, Hollywood personalities, glamour and fashion but few Bibles and commentaries. Big screen TVs with awesome sound systems so as to watch the sex filled commercials, so-called news shows populated by long-legged blondes, and the nightly cable fare that would have made our grandparents die of embarrassment at the smut. Yet it is in family viewing hours. It is not just in the home, too many churches are indistinguishable from rock concerts and rap thumping.
The judgment is falling on us as in Isaiah 3 -
"I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them"v4, "the child shall behave himself proudly against the old man, and the base against the honorable" v5, "their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory. The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not" v8,9.....
“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they that lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” (Isa 3:12 ASV)
More women are in law school then men and what do corrupt lawyers do, they run for office and rule the land. We have seen a blatant example of the horrors of this in the George Zimmerman persecution. An out of control woman as a State Prosecuting Attorney, a biased woman judge; and then the jury of ALL women! Thank God Zimmerman had an excellent Defense Attorney.
Look at the ever growing number of women ruling in State houses across the land and as heads of churches and denominations. In Washington they are gradually taking over. Yet, can we blame the women? If you read Isaiah chapter 3, that judgment makes plain there are no male statesmen, no true men of honor and leadership quality. The 'feminization of men'? That does indeed describe our day in the USA.
Remember what God told his OT people:
“But thou shalt remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as at this day. And it shall be, if thou shalt forget Jehovah thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.” (De 8:18-19 ASV)
What did God tell the church:
“For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?” (1Pe 4:17 ASV)
As goes corruption and apostasy in the churches, so follows the fall of Washington, DC and the nation, unless..................
