Is watching a R rated movie a sin?

What of a woman those husband's verbal assaults have reduced her to the point of contemplating suicide?
Was there fornication?

A husband who is a drug addict sold everything they had causing them to lose their home.
Was there fornication?

A husband who beat his wife in front of the children
Was there fornication?

A husband who exploited the situation to get the children hooked on drugs
Was there fornication?

In none of the situations above would you give the okay for divorce.
Neither would Jesus. Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, except for the cause of fornication,

You will say they need counseling but what if the husband refuses counseling?
If he strikes her call 911. If he has drugs in the house call 911.

Keep your vows. If not, the person not keeping the vows is worse than an unbeliever.

Interesting how we moved on from R rated movies to this other issue, but reminds me of when asked my pastor how would i know if my soon to be wife was the right one for me, and his answer was once say I do, God says that she is!

Here are some scenarios that may warrant a divorce provided by Keener for the reason of abuse.

...but what if...

You do like these situational ethics questions. I bet more than half your posts are about "what if" situations.

Then, professional Christian leaders like pastors or seminary professors, or experienced, mature Christian deacons and/or elders will give you answers which you will not accept and you will continue arguing. It's evident that you don't really want an answer, you want vindication.

That's why I don't engage your posts. It's a fool's errand.

Sometimes feels more like a train wreck, and many people like to view that!

Actually Keener is a pastor and the book I was reading was written partly by him as other books that I read are by pastors so what you have just said is false.

How can my post be false? Does Keener answer your posts on Baptist Board? No.

Here's the usual scenario. You have a questionable lifestyle situation or a questionable theological position. (Mike's Hard Lemonade, open air preaching, divorce for questionable reasons, using million dollar tracts, going to a different church than your wife, going to R-rated movies, spending money on electronic gadgets, etc. etc.)

You then seek out a book or an authority that will validate your opinion. Still unsure of your position you will post questions on BB. Learned and experienced pastors and counselors here like TCassidy, Revmitchell, Deacon, JonC, annsni, and others will give you a unified answer contrary to your position which you will promptly dismiss.

Why should they bother?

This is a debate board. Can't handle an opposing view?

Yes, I can handle an opposing view. My point is you are the one who cannot handle an opposing view.

Hey I listen and read posts from critics like Jon C, Tcassidy and others. But reject them as they are usually an attack on me.

Your opinion on reaching the lost means nothing to me as I have like-minded folks on social media that are on board with WOTM which you are not.

That sounds like quite a judgment on me.
You asked me to level with you. I don't mean to sound hurtful but if your posts here corresponds to your life then your church should be talking to you about your lifestyle.

I hope that our brother is in a solid church, as he should seek out the pastor/Elders/good friend who will lay the truth on him in love! For he needs the council/advice and friendship that the local church provides him, not all of us here posting!

I am in a very good church. But... they do not see open air preaching, million dollar tracts, and mikes hard lemonades as wrong.
